Getaway
By Marie Claude Rodier

Hi everyone!

I am here today to show you an usual beach layout...
I have used non traditional colors for my color scheme, embellishments and of course,
2Crafty chipboards!!!

It may be spring in Canada but is it still cold and cloudy outside.
That may explain why I added a lot of yellow in my latest layout.
I am definitely longing for warmer and nicer days.

"Getaway"

"Getaway" title was painted with gold acrylic and partially covered
with Firebird wax.

"Clock Face Frames" were cut in half and colored using Firebird, Copper and Bronze waxes.

"Small and Medium Steampunk Gears" were covered with Bronze, Turquoise and Mint waxes.

As always, as a finishing touch, all chipboards were dry-brushed with white gesso.

Just Love our Story - Altered Clock with Karan Gerber

HI Friends and welcome to the 2 Crafty Blog today!

Its Karan Gerber here to host the blog and I  have an altered piece to share with you.

You all know how much I love using clocks, gears and clock images and why?
Well take a look at this

I have altered a lot of clocks in my time (pardon the pun) and this one has got to be my fav.
I think its because I incorporated a photo of hubby and I and managed to print one small
enough to fit into the small hand watch clock too.

The clock faces and gears were perfect for this alter.

I used the clock face chipboard and added some mediums to it to get a petina look.
I had some of the cog border left, cut it into two and used it on the top of the clock.

The element set I used on the handle of the clock and the title was perfect for this project.

I hope you love this alter as much as i do, until next time,

happy Scrapping!

Good Day Layout by Elena

Happy day my dear friends!
Today I want to show my layout,
which was made in collaboration with the blog More than words.
I was looking for inspiration for this work in the word Success.
A couple of years ago I quite successfully conducted live workshops
in the Studio of the Creative people store in my city.

We worked both in small companies and in large groups.
I remember one day when the girls came to me to make layouts.
It was incredibly nice to be recognized as a master who can teach something.
t was a real SUCCESS for me.

I added a lot of dials to the layout as a symbol of the fact that
the time in our classes flew by very quickly.
We did not notice how 3-4 hours passed.
We still continue to communicate and meet.

Scrapbooking was the key to the door behind
which opened a delightful world of creativity!
So I added a metal KEY next to our picture.

2Crafty Chipboard used:

I took a sheet of  paper by Blue Fern Studio as a background.

The lovely twigs Angie's Vines  were painted with light green paint
and added embossing powder Oakleaf Olive by Lindy's.

I decorated the Clock Face Frames  and Line Words - Happiness Borders  with brown paint and powder Twilight Bronze Slate.

That's it for today!
I hope I could inspire you in one way or another.
Thank you for stopping by today!

Stay Curious - Altered Canvas
By Karan Gerber

HI Friends welcome to the 2 Crafty Chipboard Blog today.
It is Karan Gerber here hosting the blog and I have na altered canvas to share with you.

I was rummaging through some old kits this week and came across some older
Graphic 45 Curiosity Shoppe papers and stickers (remember that collection) I
thought it would be perfect for a project, so here is what i have for you today.

"Stay Curious"

I just love using clocks, and cannot get enough of them. Our lives are run by a clock,
our work day, our appointments; when we sleep and when we rise, when we eat; all
determined by the those little hands on the clocks! that is why I love using clocks!

I wanted to use the geometric arrows as a clock hand but the glass bottles were
already glued on so I turned them on their end and love that.

Some detail images......

 Until Next Time: Happy Scrapping!

Altered Bottle by Elena

Hello dear friends!
Today I'm back with a new Mixed Media project.
I was inspired by the sophistication of ancient statues.
And I wanted to make an object reminiscent of that era.

O confess I never liked decorating bottles, and this time I was pretty skeptical.
However, the result that came out, thanks to the chipboard, exceeded all my expectations!
I got great satisfaction from both the process and the result!
Now I urgently need bottles of all sizes and shapes
because I just fell in love with this format!

First, I primed the bottle with Premium White Gesso
and then stuck the Checkerboard Panel on.
I wet the chipboard with water so it wouldn't break
and stuck it to the bottle.

Next I painted it with Bad Girls Couture paints.
I used these shades: Make it rain и Last Sin.

If you look closely you will notice a lot of gears of different sizes
under the main composition. Since they are painted to match the bottle,
they are difficult to immediately notice.
However, they add volume and layering to my composition.

I used three sets of gears.:

One of the main decorations is Crown.
 I painted it with paints:

In the same colors I painted the Clock Face Frame and
covered it with Glossy Accents by Ranger.
Additionally a little tinted alcohol ink.

To add flicker to my work I tinted with wax.
None of my work is complete without toppings.
I glued beads and glitter with Clear Gesso

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:

I shall be delighted if you like my work and inspire you to create your own unique bottles.
Don't be afraid to try something new and come back to topics you didn't like before!
Life is full of amazing discoveries, let them fill your life!

Love, Elena!

Be Amazing - Karan Gerber

Hello 2 Crafty Fans and welcome to the blog today!
It is Karan Gerber hosting the blog today and I have an altered piece to share with you.

I freehand drew the palette on corrugated cardboard matted it on thick chipboard and had
so much fun putting this together. I never throw out my old paint brushes, I keep them
tucked away for projects such as this.

I used some of my favorite 2 Crafty pieces clocks, gears, steampunk borders and the mini
words are fantastic to use for titles.

The large clock face that is cut in half was left over from one of my previous projects.
I used that as well as the center of this which is under the paint brushes.

The steampunk borders are peeking out below the bottom clock face.
For the gears I attached brads to them and used them through this altered piece.

The title from the mini word set was heat embossed with white embossing powder. I dabbed
a bit of wax on it. Prills and art stones were scattered throughout to add texture and
 dimension to this piece.

I hope I have inspired you to get Crafting with 2 Crafty Chipboard!

Trinket Jewellery Box - by Karan Gerber

Treasure Jewellery Box
By Karan Gerber

Hi Friends and welcome to the 2 Crafty Blog.
It is Karan here to host the blog and I have a different kind of project for you today.

I created this jewellery box using some fabulous 2 Crafty chipboard pieces to create this beauty.
I started with a trinket box from the dollar store and primed it black then began to color my chipboard pieces and here is how it turned out.

I gessoed all my chipboard pieces with black gesso then used some various mediums in the purples.
I added in some 49 and Market Flowers and also colored them to match my colors I was using.

I used the Edgar Swirls in the front to detail the clasp on the opening, the top of the box is
stunning and i'm sure you will agree these chipboard pieces really make this box special!

On the top of the box, I centered one of the smallest of the clock face frames, I placed the
Adornment Set 3 in the corners and detailed with a brad. The Adornment Set pieces
were colored with gold wax and set in behind the flowers to add detail.

I hope you have enjoyed visiting today,
thank you for dropping by!
