'Hello' Scrapbook Layout By Kripa Koushik

Hello friends,

Today is my final post for 2crafty as my term with them finishes this month. I have had
 a great time working with this fabulous team lead by Vanessa and supported by Di.
 I also thank all of you for your loving comments and encouragement.

"Hello"

My layout today is inspired by CSI Case 268 which
2crafty chipboard is sponsoring this month.

The base is a collage of vintage red and green pattern paper over which I've added some Lindy Stamp Gang mists and stamping. All the chipboard pieces were first coated with white gesso. In the below close-up two pieces are visible - View Finder and the title which is from Arrow Word Set 2.

The View Finder chipboard had some teal paint on it (probably painted for another project but never used). To conceal it, I painted over to make it look neutral and as close to the colour of the wood grain background pattern paper. The word 'Love' from the Arrow Word Set 2 was also painted the same way and then the word was coloured with red stamp pad.

One more piece behind the layers on the left side is the word Hello from the Word Bubbles Set. After painting with white gesso, Ive stamped over with red ink and a script stamp.

My final selection of chipboard is tiny arrows from the Mini Fast Forward Arrows Set.
They have been inked with black archival ink and used to direct the viewer towards the
 photograph on the top right corner of the layout.

November Projects & Video TutorialBy Kripa Koushik

Hi friends,

Christmas Cards

My first project share is a set of 3 Christmas Cards. 

They are not exactly a set as they all use different background techniques but
they are all Christmas themed.

I started by heat embossing on black cardstock with clear embossing powder. Next, one of the frames from the Polaroid Assortment Frames Chipboard Set was covered with pattern paper. The numbers 2 & 5 have been cut out from the Number Panels Chipboard and painted with Colourarte metallic gold paint. The stars also painted gold are from the ATC Tiny Hearts and Stars Set.

My favourite of the three is this card. Tucked under the vellum Santa is a silver painted star from the Handrawn Stars Chipboard set. The rest of the silver stars are from the ATC Tiny Hearts and Stars Set.

For the final card in the set, one of the Majestic Reindeer's has been painted gold. The 

stars from ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars has been heat embossed with red embossing powder

 to match the finishing of the sentiment.

 Lets Hear It For The Boys - Scrapbook Layout

My second share this month is a layout of two cheeky & noisy boys
who are busy having a screaming contest!

There are a ton of different 2crafty chipboards on this layout. 4 pieces from the 

Polaroid Assortment Frames form the main composition. A piece of the

 Numbers Panel has been tucked behind the photographs on either side. 

   Doodled Arrows set draw the eyes from the chipboard title down to the photographs. 

To compliment the pattern paper words, Ive used two pieces from Word Bubbles Set - Cool & Fun. Finally, I've added a piece of a Video finder chipboard and a cog to complete the layout.

July Inspiration by Rachael Funnell

'Love'

Hello Everyone!

Rach with you to share two layouts for July....

My first layout 'Love' has lots of gorgeous chipboard!

2 Crafty Chipboard used:

Graceful butterfly

ATC - Tiny Butterflies

Indian Feathers

Hibiscus

Love flourish

Jewellery Strands

The 'Love Flourish' has a thick coat of gesso & finished off with some fine splatters of blue...

The delicate 'Jewellery Strands' have a very light coat of gesso, cut in half &
 placed top & bottom of the photo of my girl......

The gorgeous 'Graceful Butterfly' has a couple of coats of gesso,
then inked with a Distress Dark blue ink....

The 'Hibiscus' also has a coat of gesso & then inked with a Distress pale pink....
 Finished with some blue fine splatters & micro beads & beads.

The 'Indian feathers' have a coat of gesso & inked the edges with a teal ink....

'Capture'

'Capture' layout which features one of my nephew's....

2 Crafty Chipboard used:

Bubble words
Domino tiles
Mixed buttons
Polaroid frame
Mini word set 1 (Capture word)
Funky Arrows

On my background & underneath my photo is a negative chipboard piece for a extra
 dimension layer, then I have placed some Domino tiles on & around this negative piece,
 then given all this chipboard a light coat of gesso....
To create a bit more interest to the background I have inked 3 of the domino's with yellow ink!!

I have added a couple of the Funky arrows which have been inked black!

With the Mixed Buttons, I wanted them to stand out & have heat embossed them with a white....

The bubble word (COOL) where I have cut away the triangle piece & the Capture word
 from the Mini Word Set #1 both have a couple of coats of gesso....

For the Polaroid frame, I started by giving it a coat of gesso, once dried I gave it a
spray with a royal blue mist & adhering the frame it to the photo!

'Skater'

Hi there! Rachael with you today with a little more inspiration for September....

For my second layout I've gone a bit girly....

'Remember Moments Like This'

2 Crafty chipboard used:

I have quite a few varieties of different embossing powders in my stash so
I decided to do some heat embossing to a few of chipboard pieces added to this layout...

I added Stampendous - Aged black to the "REMEMBER Moments Like This" title...

Cut into small strips & a strip from the Lacy border set heat embossed with
American Craft Zing White...

A coat of gesso to both of these Freda Butterflies, then heat embossed one with
Stampenous - Shabby Blue while the other with a little of the Stampenous - Shabby pink
 & Lindy's Stamp gang - Hi Maintenance Magenta....

The ATC - Mini Butterflies also been heat embossed it with
Lindy's Stamp gang - Hi Maintenance Magenta....

The 2016 has a coat of gesso & very light coat of blue!

The Corner Twisted Vine is also coated of gesso, then heat embossed it with Wendy Vecchi - Watering Can the leaves & while still warm sprinkled some Prima Berry Micro beads!

A coat of gesso to this Adore from the Fine Word set, then heat embossed it with
 Lindy's Stamp gang - Hi Maintenance Magenta....
