"Love Is In The Air"
Layout and Video by Sabrina Turpin

 Hello 2Crafty fans!
A few days ago my husband and I took a rare break from the kids to go see a show together.
It had been like what seemed an eternity since we last took the time to go out by ourselves!
We had an amazing time and took a bunch of pictures.

The layout I'm presenting today really captures that happy fun mood we were in that night.
I really like the result and I've prepared a video to show how I worked with the products.

"Love is in the Air"

You can click on the video and enjoy how I created this layout.

On the "Aztec Feathers", I applied a diluted coat of blue-purple paint and then
applied some purple metallic embossing ink on top.

For the "Frame Botanical", I used pearl colored paint and a transparent glaze
to sprinkle microbeads on top. Then I inked the border with black ink.

On the title, "Love is in the Air", I applied two coats of midnight gold embossing powder.

I will be back soon with more creations to share with you.
Until then, keep creating!

Love is in the Air - with Karan Gerber

Hi Friends and Welcome!

Its Karan Gerber here to host the blog and today I am a Guest Detective over on
the CSI- Color Stories Inspiration blog and we from 2 Crafty have been invited
to join in on the challenge.
So today I am sharing a layout with you. But first the Challenge.

My take on the Challenge:

I cut apart the circle lace panel into strips heat embossed using
 Seth Apters Embossing Powders..

on all of the chipboard pieces except the title were heat embossed.

To add a feminine touch to the layout I wrapped my
photo mats in twine to tie in with the color scheme.

I colored the title with chalk ink Baja Blue and edged it with Dragons eye Sparks.

The top border, which is cut from the circle panel, I heat embossed with
Seth Apters Deep Sea and dabbed a bit of Ancient Amber on top.

The flower centers were heat embossed too with Ancient Amber Embossing powders
as was the Leafy Shrub peeking out of the flower clusters.

The floral frame was heat embossed using Seth Apters Dirty Sand,
I love how that powder looks, so amazing!

Love is in the Air with Lisa Amiet

Hello 2Crafty Fans!

It's Lisa here today to share some inspiration with you!

Today I have a layout that I think is my new favourite
'Love is in the Air'

Featuring a photo of hubby & I, on our recent trip to Hawaii for our 20th Anniversary!

I have used lots of pieces of gorgeous chipboard on this layout.
Starting with the new 'Flowering Clusters', which I am IN LOVE with :)

I have also used a few of the 'Leafy Silhouettes' tucked into my layers. I have finished all my chipboard with white embossing powder as I love how it stands out against the black.

I have also used one of the 'Elements Set 1', which is also a favourite of mine.

And lastly I have used the 'Love is in the Air' title.
I love this font, it works with so many styles of layouts.

I hope that you like what I have created and that it inspires you to get crafty today!

See you soon!

April Inspiration by Sabrina

Hello 2Crafty fans,

It is my turn to share my projects for April.
My first project puts my hubby and I in the spotlight.
Even after 18 years together, we're still in love.

"Love is in the Air"

For the title, "Love is in the Air", I used a gold embossing powder
which really makes the text stand out.

I applied a pink metallic embossing enamel on the "Ava's Frame"
that blends well with the background.

I first painted the "Climbing rose bush" with a black matte paint.
When dried, I applied a gold embossing ink.

I used a silver metallic paint on the "Fancy Damask", diluted with water.
Then, on top of the paint, I applied a pink embossing ink.

For this project, I used the following awesome chipboards:
Ava's Frame (FR0096)
Climbing Rose Bush (DB0100)
Fancy Damask (M00564)
Love is in the Air (W00418)

"Family Forever & Always"

The second project I want to show you today is quite special for me. I did the
"Family forever & always" layout as a gift for a close friend, hard-working
mom of three that just graduated from university.

On the "handdrawn feathers", I applied a red-gold embossing powder.

To give this nice rusty look to the "Hearth Clumps", I used a red ink,
then applied some gold-copper embossing ink on top.

Finally, on the title "Family forever & always", I applied a white-pink embossing enamel.

For this layout, I used the 2Crafty Chipboards:
Handrawn Feathers (M00588)
Heart Clumps (M00576)
Family Forever and always (W00125)
That's all for this month! I hope these inspire you to create as much
as I had fun doing them for you! See you next month!

July Inspiration - by Debbie

"Love Is In The Air"

Hi everyone!
Debbie here with your today to share my July projects featuring 2Crafty Chipboard!
My first layout is a romantic one.  I added some masking to the background and random stamping.

2Crafty Chipboard Used:
Beaded Hanging Heart
Fine Leafy Bush
Love is in the Air
Lacey Border Set
Corner Annalise

I used both of the Corner Annalise, one on each side of my picture.
Both were embossed with Antique Taupe embossing powder.

I embossed the Fine Leafy Bush with Verdant Embossing powder, then lightly inked the edges with a lighter green ink.  I cut the chipboard into pieces and placed it in several areas of my layout.

Here I've placed a piece from the Beaded Hanging Heart embossed with a mixture of
Antique Taupe and Plum Embossing powders.  I inked a piece from the Lacey borders
with a distressed ink and placed pieces randomly around my picture.

My title, Love is in the Air, was treated the same as the Beaded Hanging Heart,
embossed with a mixture of Antique Taupe and Plum embossing powders.

"Beautiful"

I was looking through some old pictures on my computer and came across this one I
took several years ago. I can remember that day, when I patiently waited to get that
"perfect" photo of the bee on my flowers. Lots of stamping and misting on the background paper.
I created this layout for the current challenge at the

Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo July Challenge - Beauty.

2Crafty Chipboard Used:
Bubble Clumps
Beautiful Loopy Font
Frame Lucy's Flourish
Oriental Flower Stem

I embossed the Frame Lucy's Flourish with a mixture of Ebony, Fuchsia and Verdant
embossing powders.  The same was used on the Bubble Clumps.  The bottom left of the
picture is a piece from the Oriental Flower Stem, embossed with Verdant embossing powder.
I added some microbeads to the Bubble Clumps.

The title was embossed with a mixture of Ebony and Fuchsia embossing powders.
  Love the effect!

Tucked beneath the pink is a flower piece I cut from the Oriental Flower Stem,
which I embossed with Fuchsia embossing powder.

I hope I've inspired you!

See you next month!
