"Happy Birthday"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

I'm happy to be back today to share my second inspiration for the month of July with you.
For this layout, I used the beautiful Glimmer and Glee collection from 49 and Market to document my granddaughter celebrating her birthday with her younger brother by her side. The soft colours of this collection were the perfect match for such a joyful celebration, while the 2Crafty Chipboard pieces added just the right amount of texture and elegance to the design.

"Happy Birthday"

2Crafty Chipboard used:

As always, I started by applying a coat of white gesso to all of my chipboard pieces. Once dry, I blended Distress Oxide Frayed Burlap over the surface to create a soft, vintage finish. I then added subtle touches of 49 and Market inks to coordinate with the papers and flowers, before finishing everything with a light dry brush of white gesso to soften the colours even more.

To frame my photos, I chose the Love You Balloons. I coloured each balloon in soft pastel shades so they would blend beautifully with the collection while adding a festive feel to the page. Positioned on either side of the layout, they naturally draw the eye towards the photos.

To enhance the floral cluster, I tucked the Leafy Twig Branches underneath the flowers. Their delicate design extends the composition beautifully, adding movement and depth without taking attention away from the photos. A few subtle layers of colour were all they needed to complement the soft palette of the collection.

To finish my page, I used several words from the Card Word Set 1 to create the title and balance the overall design. I love how versatile this set is, making it easy to find just the right sentiment for any project while remaining elegant and understated.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.
I hope this layout inspires you to create with these beautiful 2Crafty Chipboard designs.

Happy crafting!

Have Yourself A Very Merry Christmas Step x Step Layout by Tania Ridgwell

Hi there!

Happy New Year Everyone!!!
Tania joining you today with a layout I created for my first share for 2023 .
I have a short step x step tutorial on how I created my layout too.

2 Crafty Chipboard Used:

*Have Yourself A Very Merry Christmas
*Holly Twig Branches
*Leafy Xmas Frame

To create the background page I tore the top and bottom edges of the papers and distressed the edges.  I added a couple of pieces of distressed white cardstock as extra layers for when my photos are added later.

I painted the Leafy Xmas Frame and Have Yourself a Very Merry Christmas Chippies with pearl paint and while they were still wet sprinkled them with super fine glitter.  The Holly Twig Branch Chippies have been sprayed with Heidi Swapp Color Shine Spray.

I fussy cut poinsettias from one of the patterned papers and embellished the background page with the fussy cut poinsettias.

Once I was happy with the arrangement I tucked the Leafy Xmas Frame into the top right and Holly Twig Branches into other sections between the fussy cut Poinsettias.

I added my photos to the white cardstock paper layers.  I added some flowers and sponged on some Colourblast Snow White Colour Paste onto them and the Holly Twig Branches.  To finish my layout I added the Have Yourself A Very Merry Christmas Chippie Title to the bottom left of the page.

Thats' all from me today, I hope I have inspired you all with my Layout.
Until next time thanks so much for stopping by.

Tania xx

Once Upon a Dream
Layout by Marie Claude Rodier

Hi 2 Crafty fans! Marie Claude back today to share another
project with fantastic 2Crafty chipboards.

This time I was inspired by a spring theme and created an almost
monochromatic layout using earthy tones.

I started by applying white gesso on my title.
I then used an avocado green Lindy's Magicals to color it.

Once dry, I embossed it with a clear shiny powder over which I dried brushed white gesso.

I basecoated the groovy flowers and keyhole with vintage gold wax and
then applied brown Gelatos over them to get a vibrant contrast.

I used gold/green embossing powder on the leafy twig branches and
then dry brushed white gesso on top of them.

May Inspiration with Elisa Ablett

"Embrace Today''

Hi 2Crafty lovers,

Elisa here from the design team with my first inspiration for May.
I am sharing with you my mixed media layout featuring loads of layers,
a distress foil technique
and a bit of an unusal colour scheme.

I don't do a lot of feminine layouts but when I do, I like to add
distressing and a bit of grunge.

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard pieces -

Embrace Today - Title
Fine Heart border pieces
Leafy Twig Branches
Square Frames

Let's take a closer look at the chipboard featured on the layout !

For our first piece, the title - Embrace Today
I decided to do a two toned heat embossed technique.
Firstly you heat emboss with your black powder and while still
hot sprinkle your gold powder over the top and heat again.

The second pieces that I featured on my layout are 'Leafy twig branches'
These pieces are perfect for layering with your flower stamps.

I hand painted my chipboard in various colours to match my layout then
using a glue stick I rubbed glue onto the ends of the branches.
then layered gold foil flakes over the glue. Let dry, then using
a large stiff paintbrush - brush off the excess gold flakes.

I used the same distress foil technique with my layered square frames.

The last featured chipboard piece is a gorgeous very fine hearts border
which I inked very carefully with black ink. Perfect for adding depth and texture
to your borders.

That's it from me today,

Stay tuned for later in the month for my next post !

Hugs

Karine's Share with a video tutorial

Dear Crafty Friends,

It's my turn, today, to share my creations for the month.
The first layout I created is called "A Glimpse of You". Here it is.

A Glimpse of You

I wanted to use a few leaves and branches on that layout. I used the Spring Flower Bunches and Leafy Twig Branches above and below my picture.

I left all my chipboards bare, as I liked the contrast.

To frame the picture, I used the Frame Round Ornate.

My title piece is called A Glimpse of You.

In my embellishments, I chose to add just a little pop of red.

My second layout is called "Hello". Here it is.

Hello

I used a lot of chipboards on this layout. To make sure they fit together, I painted them all black. I began with the Film Strips - Small and the Film Strips - Medium.

I added a piece of the Grid Panel below my picture.

I also decided to add pieces of the Checkerboard Clumps, here and there.

Finally, my title piece, the "Hello" title, is embossed with gold embossing powder.

I made a process video. I hope you'll enjoy it.
