'Absolutely Unique' by Emma Zappone

Hello, hope you are all doing well.
Emma with you today, sharing my first project for April.
This project uses a blend of awesome chippy and resin castings, plus butterflies,
my absolute fave way of creating.

And lets check out the awesome chipboard used....

Decorative Doily
Lattice Leaf set
Jeremy's vines

I knew this page needed a dark background to really make the chipboard elements 'pop' off the page more with the colours I wanted to use.

This projects colours were deeply inspired by this amazing Pinterest image.
So the Vines are painted in a wonderful orange acrylic, with a light scattering off vintage emboss powder over the top to add a slight softness to the larger pieces. I flipped one of the pieces over so they could mimic butterfly wings.

The Lattice leaves were simply stamped with a script stamp in a Stazon blue. And then clear embossed which darkened up the chipboard beautifully with a gorgeous shine.

That gorgeous Doily was painted with black acrylic and then 2 different waxes to add a beautiful shine and glam to it.

I do love the dramatic feel this page has with those bold colours on dark.

I hope you found some inspiration from this page and I look forward to seeing you again later in the month.

Stay Crafty, Em xx

'Bessie' - by Emma Zappone

Hello 2Crafty friends!
Today I would like you to meet 'Bessie', a stunning 1920's French Cabaret performer.
Life hasn't been easy for Bessie, the stage has come at a cost.
But with all she may have lost, her passion and love of performing out ways the sadness she has felt.
Please put your hands together for 'Bessie'.....

Let's also focus on a few other star performers featured on this page....

ATC - Mini Scissors
Rose Set 1
Lattice Leaf Set
Messy Squares

For this page I wanted to go dark, a little smoky and create a vibe that reflected the image.
So I painted all the chipboard with black Gesso.

The Messy Square also had a light paint of Prussian Blue to set it off from the black. The lighting in the photo doesn't quite pick it up. Once dry I added a clear emboss powder to add a little more drama to the chippy. And the little pair of scissors were painted black with a blue wax to finish them off.

The lattice leaves are also in black with a Clear emboss.
I just love how these black elements set apart the layers.

The stunning Rose chippy was treated the same way as the Square, with that slight hint of blue shining through the embossing.

Bessie and I would like to thank you for stopping by and for all your continued support.
We hope we have inspired you a little.

Stay crafty, Em xx

Brave with Emma Zappone

Welcome everyone.
Emma here with you today.
And today I share a 9"x12" layout with you entitled 'Brave'.

Check out the awesome chipboard used on this project...

Decorative Doily
Lattice Leaf Set
Pointy Flower Vines

Again this project I kept it sweet and simple with my finishes on the chipboard.

The beautiful pointy flower vine was painted with a pink acrylic paint and once dry 3
different wax finishes were applied. All the colours were chosen to reflect the paper
choice and photo used.

The stunning lattice leaves are again painted with an acrylic first and then a couple of
Matte wax to draw out the shade of blue to match the layout.

And this final piece which I think is my favourite decorative doily is also painted
with another pink/purple acrylic and a couple of matte waxes.

I love the simplicity of the mediums on all the chipboard pieces, yet the outcome of the
page is striking, bright and playful.

I hope this page has inspired you a little today.

See you all soon, Em xx

"Perfection"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

I present to you my second inspiration for this month of September.

A still romantic layout!

"Perfection"

The 2CraftyChipboards used :

- Perfection
- Frame Oval Ornate
- PA Decorative Rod Set 1
- Lattice Leaf Set

I applied a coat of white gesso to each chipboard.

I used my adorable "Frame Oval Ornate" chipboard
which I embellished with Lindy's Gang "CafĂ© au Lait" embossing powder
then I gave a little contrast by adding lightly "Turquoise Satin" wax and "Bronze Age".

This is the star chipboard of my layout I love its super sleek design.

To stay in the same style I chose these chipbards "PA Decorative Rod Set".
They are precious and delicate.

To harmonize with the background of my paper,
I chose Turquoise embossing powder.

To bring more detail and relief I also added some "Lattice Leaf Set".

The magic of chipboards.

For the title I added nothing, I liked it as it is!

That's it for me, come back every day to discover magnificent creations.

Thank you for your visit, see you soon!

I am extraordinary by Emma Zappone

Hello, Emma with you today.
Today's share is bold and bright, with a little sass thrown in.

These are the chipboard pieces used.....

Square Collage Panel
Lattice Leaf set
Border 6" Floral Cluster

My page is an A4 set as landscape, something a little different in size and design.
As the background is quite bold and bright, I wanted to make sure the chipboard elements stood out.

For the square panel I painted these with black Gesso and then with my finger just lightly brushed over some white Gesso. Once these were dry I then clear embossed them to make them shine and stand out from the colourful background.

With the gorgeous floral border I decided to cut the flowers apart and make them individual pops of colour on the squares. To colour these, I painted with an assortment of acrylic paints that I had used on the background paper. Again painting and blending with my fingers.
Once dry, I again clear embossed them.

And then finally the stunning lattice leaves! I used the similar acrylic paint techniques as the other chippy on the leaves and clear embossed. I really love the way all the chipboard shines above the coloured background and really owns the page!

I hope you found a little inspo from this page and I will see you all again at the end of the month.
Stay safe, stay crafty.

Em xx

'Love that Smile'
by Tammy Klingner

Hello there!!

Tam here today and I've just popped in to share my latest layout titled:

"Love that Smile"

A layout celebrating special time with my gorgeous girl.

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:

"Love that Smile Title"
"Sharon's Butterflies"
"Lattice Leaves"
"11 inch Fine Floral Frame Set"
"12 inch Revolution Frames"

I coated everything with white gesso.

I then added white acrylic paint to the largest of the "12 inch Revolution Frame" and used this as the base for the layout.

I then used Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks to add colour to all the other pieces.

I love the mottled effect this gives.

I mixed the colours on the "11 inch fine flowers frame" - some pinks, some purple and some blues.

I love the variegated look and I really love the detail in the flowers and leaves.

I used a few different greens in all the leaves too, including the "Lattice Leaves".

I layered these on top of the circular frame, tucking a few paper flowers underneath.

I chose pink and yellow on the "Sharon's butterflies" and on the "Love that Smile title" as this gave a beautiful contrast to the flowers.

How gorgeous is that ombre effect?

Why not give it a go?

I hope I've inspired you to try Scribble Sticks on your chipboard!
A fun way to add colour!

Love Tam

"Beauty" a Layout by Bec Genet

Hi everyone.
Today I have a my first November layout made with 2Crafty Chipboard to share with you.
Sometimes I love to make layouts with mixed media backgrounds and get my paints and pastes
out, then other days I like to make clean layouts. This is one of my clean layouts with just a plain background, someday's it's nice to make something simple.

The 2Crafty Chipboard Used:

 Beauty Script Title
Avery Frame
Lattice Leaf Set
Ornate Gateway

Close Ups:

Along with my plain background I went simple on colouring my chipboard too. I only used Liquid Pearls to add the colour. This is a really easy and mess free way to make chipboard look amazing.

On the Avery Frame and Lattice Leaf Set I used Ranger Liquid Pearls in Avocado.
I used Ranger Liquid Pearls in White Opal on the Beauty Script Title and on the
Ornate Gateway I used Nuvo Crystal Drops in Raspberry Pink.

I embellished the page with flowers and that was it :)

Thanks for visiting
