Inspiration With Athanasia

You+Me=Big Love

Hello 2Crafty friends!
In a couple of days we will be celebrating Valentine's Day, so I wanted to make
something with a LOVE mood :)

Before we start...
Please remember while you are here  to become a blog follower & leave a blog comment to
be eligible to go in our monthly draw for a great chippie prize pack.

This layout represents a big love, indestructible in time.
First thing I do to start building a layout is to place the photo and the basic elements,
and these are the chipboard pieces.
Here is how my page looked before adding more embellishments and painting...

I used three Polaroid Assortment Frames which I absolutely adore! They look so
beautiful in the clusters and they come in different sizes, how cool is that?.
All chipboard pieces were the inspiration for this layout, even the small Asst Arrow.
I love how it stands there and points to the main composition.

To paint all the chipboard pieces I used silks and H2Os Twinkling watercolors.
It is really a quick process to paint all these before gluing them down -
the chipboard sucks the color and they dry in no time!

For the cluster in the picture bellow I used four different chipboard pieces,
Two Polaroid Assortment Frames, the word Precious and a small Hedgehog
  (how cute is that??? )
I love how they look one above the other!

'Trust'

This journal page turned to be one of my favorites in my journal
because of this amazing Aidan's Arrow.
As I was looking in my stash I saw it and that was it!
It was like a vision with this arrow standing on some big circles,
don't ask why and how ...

I created this page immediately after the layout -yeap, that was a really creative day for me :)
I used the same color shades I used on the layout above, as well one more
Polaroid Assortment Frame. These frames are so cute that I just can't
have enough! In order to alter the chipboard pieces I used  warm grey Silk and
primary elements to create more texture on them.
 I

The ATC Tiny Heart is like the icing on the cake: cute and delicious!
I love how it looks on my beloved arrow :)
I painted it with H2Os watercolors purple and spiced pumpkin.

Layout and Journal Page from Athanasia

"Love The Sound Of Silence"

'The music is not in the notes, but in the silence between' - W.A.Mozart
This is an amazing quote I always have in mind when I'm playing the piano.
As a musician I love making projects about music, so I decided to make
one with this favorite quote of mine.

For my page I used the word "love" as the main title, which I cut from the "love border".
I really like the calligraphy style of it and I think it was the perfect size for the tittle.
I altered it with black embossing powder and placed it vertically to match the whole
vertical flow of the page.

I also used some pieces from the "6x6 'Moroccan Panel" in order to give texture and
interest to the background. I absolutely love this design. It matches with any kind of
style and it is very easy to cut into pieces and use them on your projects. I used both
black and white gesso and silks paints to alter them.

This big key from the "Vintage Keys" set was the perfect embellishment to complete my composition, because it represents the key of perfection in what has to do with music.
I painted it with African Jade silk, my favorite color, and a little bit of black and white gesso.

"She Designed A Life She Loved"

My second project for this month is a page from my black journal.
I wanted to keep it simple, so I decided to use only 3 chipboard pieces, colors
and shiny flakes, and I think I found the perfect chipboard pieces to picture this beautiful quote.

I used a butterfly from the 'Marriane's Butterflies',  a piece of 'Square Collage Panel'
and a bulb of the 'Light Bulbs' set. First I cut the butterfly in three pieces
(center and two wings) and glued it on the light bulb. Then I glued the light globe
onto a piece of the square panel and that transformed the butterfly-bulb !!!
I colored all the chipboards with silks, a small amount of primary elements and
finally some splashes of white gesso.

For more inspiration, here is an older page from my black journal.
I used the same 3 chipboard sets, plus an arrow from the the 'Mini Fast Forward Arrows' set.

I hope you got some ideas on how to use and alter your 2Crafty chipboard pieces
on your projects!
Have a lovely crafty day!
