Fun In The Sun
Laura Gilhuly

 Hi!
Laura here today to share my next layout!

Fun in the Sun

We like to spend a lot of time at the beach and I like to take a lot of photos while we are there.

2Crafty products used:

I painted then heat embossed the title.  While the embossing powder was still wet I drop a
small amount of white and brown paint on the title

All the pieces were covered in gesso, then painted in either brown or white.  After the paint dried I sanded to create a more shabby washed out look.  For the fence I also dry brushed a bit of white paint over it after I had finished sanding to add a more aged look

I cut one of teh revolution frames and placed one on top and one under the photo.  I used a whole one under the photo.  I also added some altered grid bits into the clusters.

Thanks so much for stopping by

Fun in the Sun
by Sabrina Turpin

Hello 2Crafty fans!

Here to share my layout "Fun in the Sun"

This week I would like to show you a layout I recently made as a Guest Detective for CSI,
accepting the challenge for their "Case file no. 286".
Here the theme looked like good summer fun and this was perfectly fitting as we're
just starting summer here up north!

For the "Pointy Flower", I applied pink ink and then traced the border with black ink.

On the title, "Fun in the Sun", I applied gray pearl metalic paint and traced the border with black ink.

On the negative of the "Pretty Flowers", I applied honey-colored ink and then stamped an hawaiian leaves pattern with black embossing ink. For the "Fern Leaf set" at the back, I applied 2 coats of teal-green embossing powder to make them all nice and shiny.

In this layout, I used the following 2Crafty chipboards:
Pretty Flowers [M000574]
Fern Leaf Set [M00798]
Fun in the sun [W00422]
Pointy Flower [PA0021]

That's all for me today! I hope you enjoyed this layout and that it gave you some ideas for your own creations! Have fun exploring the various techniques of preparing your chipboards! See you soon with more ideas.

'Fun in the Sun' Boy Scrapbook Page
By Kripa

Its been two wet, cold weeks in Sydney.
That probably explains why I chose to make a layout using the sun.

The layout concept was inspired by 2crafty chipboard pieces:
Dancing Suns and the title chipboard Fun in the Sun.

"Fun In the Sun"

All the chipboard pieces were first coated with a layer of white gesso. Once dry, I applied Colourarte Silks using a palette knife on the Polaroid Frames & Dancing Sun. Let the paint dry for a minute then drag the paint again using the palette knife. This left some beautiful texture and just enough grunge. Dry brush a very tiny amount of white to tone down the shiny paint.

For the title piece, I wanted the word 'Sun' to stand out. So it was coloured using an orange ink pad. The word 'Fun' was painted on with Colourarte Silks & outlined with a white Posco pen.

2crafty chipboard used:

* Dancing Suns
* Title: Fun in the Sun
* Polaroid Assorted frames

Thank you for stopping by today.
Happy creating,
Kripa
