"My Beautiful Girl"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

I present to you my first inspiration from this month of October.
A layout with a photograph of my granddaughter for the first day of school this year.
I added an autumn decor by adding these superb chipboards "large-daisy-flower-stem".

"My Beautiful Girl"

The chipboard used:

To begin, I applied a layer of white gesso to each chipboard.
The "frame-handdrawn-heart" chipboards were coated with white acrylic paint.
I used green ink for the leaves on the "large-daisy-flower-stem" chipboards. For the petals, I simply stamped with neutral ecru ink, adding a few touches of yellow.

On the word "happy", the white color is softened by lightly rubbing with "Fossil" ink.

The "field-mushrooms" and "foliage-set 17" chipboards were decorated using "49 and Market" inks, applied with a reservoir brush for a neat and controlled finish.
I like to combine chipboards and paper cutouts to highlight every detail.

For the phrase "My Beautiful Girl," I apply the same technique as for the word "happy," adding a slight shade of dark brown to tone down the brightness of the white.

As always, I loved using these beautiful particle boards to add depth and structure to my layout.
I hope that I have provided you with some inspiration for your future creations.

Thank you for your loyalty!

"Father & Daughter"
Mixed Media Heart Canvas
with Amy Voorthuis

 Good morning lovely 2Crafty friends.
How wonderful of you all to stop by the 2Crafty Chipboard blog.
For this post I made a mixed media Heart Canvas with a picture of Abbey and Jeroen during Abbey's school pictures two years back. I really love this picture because that tender kiss she gives her daddy makes my heart melt. Enjoy my post.....

Father & Daughter:

Wonderful 2Crafty Chipboard used:
Frame Handdrawn Heart
Father & Daughter Moment
Foliage Set 13
Squiggly Heart Cluster

It's a inside out heart canvas I used here with a heart shape piece af paper from a template. Around the edges of that shape I used very thick jute cord to give it a little texture. The handdrawn heart frame is treated with rust paste and purple wax as I did with the heart cluster.

The foliage set 13 is treated & father & daughter moment are treated with some white acrylic paint before I used my alcohol/aqua on them. I cut off the word moment to use it in another crafty piece. This time no gesso haha in the end I added some white matte wax on both

Hope you all enjoyed my post thank you so much for stopping by, I will be back with another project soon hope to see you back then....

Both the heart border & the handdrawn heart frame are treated with some rust paste & pink acrylic paint after using 2 layers of white gesso. The words of chipboards are treated with two layers of white embossing powder. On the background of my layout I aded some script stamps ,a stencil & some white spray paint. I also stitched the edges around my page that is my go to thing to do on my work.

The beautiful Ariel's Spray with three different embossing powders in the end I added some pink acrylic paint to get the color I wanted. I cut the Maggie's Swirls in three pieces after I painted it with some pink acrylic paint.

Hello title
2020

Once again I have kept it quite simple but oh so effective
with the treatment to the chipboard,
I  have simply inked with a variety of colors using Tim Holtz - Distress Oxides..

One of my favorite things to do and it is such an effective way to showcase
the beautiful chipboard, is to  layer up the chipboard pieces.

In'st that handdrawn heart frame just the sweetest sitting underneath the title..

Thanks for stopping by
I hope I have inspired you in some way
Until next time!

Grateful

By Sabrina Turpin

Hello 2crafty fans,

I hope you are all safe and doing well in these crazy times. Here in Quebec we're in the midst of a second quarantine, with a lot of our normal activities being shut down. However, I'm grateful to be safe and to have my husband and kids around me so we can help each other keep our spirits up.
This was the inspiration for the layout I am revealing today.

"Grateful"

For the "Fine & Fancy butterflies", I used my fingers to apply a green-gold shimmering wax.
On the "Mini Flourish Bits", I applied ivory embossing enamel.

On the "Whispy Dandelions", I used gray embossing ink and dabbed some bright yellow
 embossing ink on top.

For the "Frame Handdrawn Hearts", I applied 2 coats of bright yellow embossing ink.

For the title, "Grateful Script", I used two coats of black embossing powder.

In this layout, I used the following 2Crafty chipboards:

Whispy Dandelions [M00705]
Mini Flourish bits [MB006]
Fine and Fancy Butterfly set [M00794]
Frame Handrawn Hearts [FR0082]
Grateful [W00510]

I hope you enjoyed this layout and that it gave you ideas for your own creations!
I'll be back in a few weeks with more inspiration to share with you.
Happy crafting and see you soon!

June Inspiration With Kripa Koushik

Hello friends,

This month I have made scrapbook layouts in two completely different styles.

'Moments'

The first layout I want to share is a shabby chic style layout. I have tons of photos of my
first born and he ends up being the subject of most of my layouts. This picture was
taken in our backyard one spring morning, so I decided to replicate the feeling and
colours from that day by incorporating lots of fussy cut flowers.

Circle Lace Panel was cut up and tucked under the pink patter paper. It was first covered
with white gesso and then with white acrylic paint and a tiny bit of pink twinkling H2O.
3 pieces from the Leafy silhouettes set were tucked in between layers of fussy cut
flowers and pattern paper arranged to mimic the pointed end of the handrawn heart.

The Frame handdrawn heart like the other pieces on this layout was first coated
with white gesso and then white acrylic paint.

'Explore'

Here is my second layout. 2crafty has a huge variety of designs to suit any scrapbooking style.
This photograph was taken on a walking tour of Melbourne City. The Square Collage Panel chipboard reminds me of the alleyways and tram route map.

All pieces of chipboard were first coated with white gesso, dried and then coloured with
ink pads. The Mini Travel Wordset1 and stars from the Love you to the moon set
have been embossed with pearl embossing powder after colouring with ink pads.

The Square collage panel has been inserted in between the layers to help add dimension
and show the layers better.  I love the glossy sheen the embossed chippies have
against the rough matt finish of the un-embossed square collage panel.

Happy crafting!

January Inspiration by Jaya Raghuvanshi

Hello 2Crafty Fans!

This is Jaya here today and I have two layouts to share with you all. I hope you will
like them and will be inspired to try out these with the gorgeous 2Crafty Chippies.

"Happy"

 Some close ups-

I just absolutely love creating some sort of flowing pattern in my
pages and the 2Crafty chippies help me so much in this!.
Look how beautifully the leafy flourishes tie up the whole page. Absolutely
love them. The chippies have been covered in white paint and I used
watercolors and mist to give them a hint of color.

6" Clock face frame
Leaf Shrub set 3

My next layout is

" A Moment To Treasure"

Some close ups-

I had so much fun making this grungy page with loads of mixed media techniques.
I absolutely... absolutely love the way the chippies helped me tie up the whole page.
It was way easier than it looks. Believe me!.

I covered the chippies in black gesso and used Prima waxes to highlight a few areas.
The chain chippie has also been covered in Bronze wax.
