"vacation"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

Here is my first inspiration for this month of September.
This is a holiday themed layout, illustrating the first vacation time at the sea of Sayka, my son’s dog.
Note that Sayka showed a preference for sand during this experiment.

"vacation"

The chipboard used:

As always, I start by applying a coat of white gesso to each chipboard.
After deciding on my layout, I choose these pretty "Little Pawprint Strip" to fill the bottom of my layout.
To embellish them, I use 49 and Market inks, using two colors: "Cappuccino" and "Fossil."
Over my photo, I add the word "experience", It is covered with ink of the color "Daffodil".

I add art stones to bring material.

I'm creating a cluster using the "seachells" chipboard.
I chose the colors "Summer Sky" and "Pink Sands."

Finally, I add the word "vacation."

There you go, it’s over, I love this ball of fur through this decor and these pretty chipboard paws.

Thank you very much for your visit.

Good Times - Laura Gilhuly

 Hi everyone!

Creating simple and multi photo layouts are a great way to record fun memories with friends!

2Crafty Products Used;

Seaweed Set 1
Line Words - Good Times
Harlequin Clumps
Anchor and Buoy Set
Seashells Set 2
Banners Flags

We had such a good time that day so the title piece was perfect!  I inked and heat embossed the title!

After inking the seashells I added a bit of copper paint

The anchor and wheel were perfect accents for a layout about spending the day on the water

I wanted to keep the layout fun and watery so when I painted the banners and used dimensional paint!

'Paradise Found'
with Lisa Amiet

Hello 2Crafty fans!
It's Lisa here with some more scrappy inspiration for you.

'Paradise Found'

2Crafty products used:

For this layout, I have used one of the 'Seaweed Set 1',
that I have finished in a watercoloured blues,
and tucked into my elements.

I also used a few of the 'Seashells Set 2',
also finished in multiple shades of blues.

I then used one of the 'Intricate Seahorses',
also finished in aqua blues.

For my title, I used the 'Paradise Found' title,
again finished in the multiple blue shades.
I have layered this over one of the 'Old Fence' pieces,
which I have left raw and layered
with some of the 'Seashells Set 2'.

I really like the blue shades
over the natural raw finish of the chipboard.

I just love the fun beach colours and vibes to this layout.
I hope that you like it too!

Until next time,

Lisa

Beach Babe - Laura Gilhuly

Hi everyone!

Laura here today to share another layout for my husbands album!

I know the photo is not the greatest, but it deserves to be remembered!

2Crafty chipboard used:

Seaweed Set 1

Charlotte Page Flourish

Flourish 2

Beach Babe

SeaShells Set 2

For Charlotte's Flourish and the Beach Babe Title, I wanted it to coordinate with the paper but still have a beachy feel.  I painted it with Salvaged Patina distressed paint and heat set it, I then added Peacock Feathers distress paint and sprayed with water so the paint looks two toned.  I added some tainted Teal powder and again sprayed with water.  I allowed it to air dry then splattered white gesso mixed with some water with a fan brush.

I wanted to introduce a complimentary color to the teal papers and I took inspiration from my husbands shirt in the photo and decided to add orange.  I used modeling paste and a stencil then added orange brusho powder spritzed with water.  To continue with the orange I painted the seaweed and the flourish 2 with orange impasto paint and the same paint mixed with a little white.  I painted the seashells and the other seaweed with pearl white paint then added a little color with orange and teal paint that I wiped off to only leave a shadow of the color.

Thank you so much for stopping by

Day At The Beach - Laura Gilhuly - Tutorial

 Hi everyone!
I'm back today to share my newest layout for 2Crafty and a small tutorial on how I
created this layout and altered the fabulous chipboard!

2Crafty Products used

Seashells Set 2

Day At The Beach

Seaweed Set 1

Part of my creative process is to gather all the products I may need even if I don't use them all

I used

2Craftys seashells

2Crafty day at the beach title

2Crafty Seaweed set

1-12" sheet of paper

3 - 6" squares

4 - tags

1 - 5" circle and 3" circle - cut the 3" circle in half

1 - die cut banner

3 - 12" paper strips cut from the end of papers or 1/4" cut in half

a few fussy cut flowers/branches/leaves

stencil

modeling paste

clear gesso

edge distresser or scissors

heat gun

sand paper  (I used 100 grit)

Step 1 - paint all your 2Crafty chipboard with coordinating colors to your paper. Allow to dry or heat set. I used white, blue, and brown.  I had to mix paints together to get my desired colors.

Step 2 - Paint all the 2Crafty chipboard a second color - not the same as your bottom coat

Step 3 - using your sandpaper, sand some of the top coat of paint off so the bottom layer and some of the chipboard shows through.  It will look something like this;

Step 4 - Cover your background paper with clear gesso

Step 5 -apply your stencil using modeling paste in various spots on your paper and heat set

Step 6 - Use your edge distresser on all papers

Step 7 - Layer your tags, then your 3 sheets of 6" paper and circle and your photo

Step 8 - Cut your paper strips to desired lengths and apply to top and bottom of your project along with cut circle, images and a seashell

Step 9 - add your banner and create your cluster using your 2 crafty chipboard on the right side of your photo

Step 10 - Add a couple of die cuts/fussy cut images then your title and your seashells

Hope I have inspired you to create!
