Dreams of Beauty - by Emma Zappone

 Hello everyone.
Emma with you today sharing my first 2Crafty project of 2023.
I hope this page inspires you to get a little creative. I loved playing with this colour scheme, and the chipboard pieces were definitely the perfect compliment.

Check out the pieces I used here.....

Foliage Set 4
Intricate Seahorses
Seaweed Set

I love how the chipboard is thin enough to slide between my layers and how well they work with all mediums.

The Foliage pieces on this page are only 2 pieces out of 6 in a pack. I love that this means I have so much more to play with on other projects. I painted these in a Light Blue acrylic and once dried sprayed a Pearl shimmer to them.

I applied the same finish on the Seaweed pieces too. With the pearl spray it made them a gorgeous silver tone.

I used the smaller Seahorse out of the 2 pack and painted it with a cream acrylic to start with and then found it got lost. So I rubbed a little orange distress crayon over the top and then activated it with a wet paint brush. So much better, that gorgeous Seahorse really pops now.

I hope I have inspired you to try something a little different, either it's the colour, chippy, size of the project or maybe it's all of the above. Whatever it is, have fun.

Thanks for joining me today, I will catch you all again soon.
Em xx

'Cherish'
with Lisa Amiet

Hello 2Crafty Lovers!

It's Lisa here to share some 2Crafty love with you.
I have created a layout using a photo of children at the beach.

2Crafty Products used:

I have used one of the 'Foliage Set 4',
which I have given a rough coat of both turquoise and white to give it a beachy feel.

I have layered this in among some of my fussy cut elements.

I have also used one of the 'Shrub Set 2'.
that I have finished in the same colours as the fern piece.

I have also used one of the 'Pretty Dandelions'.
which I have left raw and added into my layers.

I really love the natural colours and beach feel of this layout.
I hope that you like it too!

Until next time!

'Love is a Four Legged Word'
Layout by Hetty Hall

Hi there friends and welcome to the 2Crafty blog, Hetty with you today.

I have been sitting on this gorgeous 2Crafty Chipboard sentiment for a while now
and found the perfect photo to use it with finally.

'Love is a four legged word'

I started this layout by cutting up the 'Fiddle Stick Panel', added copper
embossing powder and arranged it in a random fashion behind my photo.

'Fiddle Stick Panel'

The copper embossing powder put a lovely shine on the panel.

After I arranged some 49 and Market flowers around my photo I used some
of the leaves from the 'Foliage Set 4', painted it with some pearl paint, cut it up
and stuck it amongst my flower clusters.

Here is another close up of the leaves, they are so gorgeous and special!

Last but not least, I again got my scissors out and trimmed up the sentiment -
added more pearl paint and placed the first two words above my photo and the
rest in the bottom right corner of the layout. I think this way the
whole design ties together.

A few little extra touches like art stones and ink splatter were added and there you have it.

Thanks again for stopping by, hope you like my layout.

Until next time.....

Hugs

Hetty

January Layout + Video
by Lisa Amiet
'Live every day with Intention'

Hello all!
It's Lisa here today to share another creation with you.

This time I have a bright and bold layout featuring my daughter.
I love this picture even though you can't see her face. :)

This orange trumpet vine is divine!
Every year there are lines of people waiting to take their photo in front of the flowers.

You can watch the VIDEO for the creation of this layout
by clicking on the picture below

For this layout I have started with a few swipes of colourful paints to match my papers.
I have added some stamping around where I want the Mandala to sit.

I have then used the gorgeous '6" Mandala No 1" as a frame for my photo stack.
I have finished it with black gesso, giving it a great matte finish.

I have then used a couple of the foliage swirls from 'Foliage Set 4',
that I have again finished with black gesso.

I love how the black pops against the colours!

Lastly I have used the "Live every day with Intention" title,
which I have also chosen the black gesso finish for.

"Remember Moments Like This"
by Sabrina Turpin

Hello 2Crafty fans,

This month, I was a guest designer on the CSI Colors Stories Inspiration for Case #268!
When I saw the challenge I knew exactly which pictures and materials would fit perfectly,
as my inspiration for this layout had been brewing ever since my husband and I took
these pictures. I just needed the perfect excuse to go in "full holidays mode"! I really
love Christmas time (and reindeers) and a few weeks ago I found this amazing reindeer
onesies PJ that can be worn as a costume so it was a match made in heaven.

For this challenge, I chose to integrate "Christmas/Holiday Elements", "Plaid", "Frames", "Deer", "Lightbulbs" and "Poinsettias" elements on a "Wood Background". I really like the result.

The dark wood background brings some warmth to the layout while allowing
the chipboard items to really stand out.

For the title, "Remember moments like this", I used black embossing powder.

On the "Christmas Light Strands", I applied red embossing ink and then gold embossing
ink on top. For the "Foliage set 4", I used green embossing ink and then applied
diluted teal metallic paint on top.

On the "Christmas frame", I applied white-gold embossing enamel.

That's it for 2018 for me!
I wish you the best holidays season and I can't wait to see you again in 2019!

Take care and keep creating!
