'Scenic Route' by Emma Zappone

Hello 2crafty friends.
Emma with you today, and I'm sharing a little 'head in the clouds' themed layout.

I had a little fun creating with the chipboard this time. I wanted 'clouds' to
 compliment the image.

Let's have a look at what chipboard I chose....

Assorted Mini Camera Set
Scribble Flowers
Clock Face Discs
Wing Set 2

So to make the cloud effect take shape I used a couple of the backgrounds
from the scribble flowers set. I primed them with White Gesso and then started
to add paper paste. while the paste was wet, I used my finger to 'prick' the
paste to add a fluffy finish.

Once dry and adhered to the page, I started to add a little colour to compliment
the page. Finishing with a layer of wax and dry brush paint to show off the texture.

I chose 2 of the pin points from the camera set pieces, and painted them
with black gesso. Then stamped with an oxide ink to add subtle texture.

These magnificent wings are embossed with a soft pink to compliment
the image and add a drama for the eye to enjoy.
These wings and embossing powder just work so well together.

I also finished the clock disc with a little of the emboss powder, to add
another visual interest amongst the layers.

I really love how all these pieces work with one another, adding depth and layers.

I do hope this page inspires you a little.

I will catch you all soon.
Stay Crafty, Em xx

'Be Brave' by Emma Zappone

 Happy Wednesday everyone!
Today's 'Be Brave' Layout is full of layers, chipboard and dimension.

Here are the chipboard pieces chosen to create this page....

Corner Steampunk 4
Ornate Screen
Rose Set 1
Corner Steampunk 6
Scribble Flower Set

A selection of finishes on the chipboard. But mostly they started with acrylic paint on them.

The Steampunk Corners were trimmed accordingly and painted with a metallic silver acrylic.
Nothing else was needed on these striking corner elements.

The beautiful Ornate Screen was painted with a white shimmer acrylic, embossed with
a powder blue in an uneven way to 'age' it a little.

The Roses and the Scribble Flowers were painted in a soft coral acrylic with white emboss on the leaves, and in a random fashion on the scribble flowers which made the chippy take on a real
'Shabby Chic' vibe.

I love the chipboard pieces on this page as they were perfect to layer as well as lay flat
on the base sheet.

I'm so pleased with the amount of dimension I managed to create.
It's really hard to show all the dimension in the Photos.

I hope you like this creation and I hope you have a great day, see you all later in the month.

Stay crafty, Em xx

"Angelic"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

Already in July, time passes so quickly. Here is my first achievement.

I miss the pictures of my granddaughter when she was still a baby.
I chose this photo as it contained both purple and lilac.

"Angelic"

The 2Crafty Chipboards used:

- Mini Word Set 3
- 11 inch Celia Frame
- Scribble Flower Set
- Leafy Shrub Set

As always, I protect chipboards with a layer of white gesso.

After preparing my layout. I decided to embellish the "Celia Frame"
chipboard with "Midnight Violet" embossing powder.
To bring relief, I didn't hesitate to cut it out and superimpose it on the layers of paper.

On the frame I added this chipboard "Leafy Shrub" that I embellished with powder
to emboss "olive green" then I applied a hint of "turquoise" wax.

I chose this title which perfectly illustrates the meaning of my photo!

This is the first time I’ve ever used these "Scribble Flowers" chipboards, they go perfectly
with the drawings of my paper.

Here I left the wooden support then I added a paper embellishment and I glued the flower.
I liked to add several in my clusters of embellishments.

A new layout that ends, I hope I have given you some inspiration.

Thank you for your visit, and see you soon!

Josephine by Emma Zappone

Hello 2Crafty friends!

Emma with you today, sharing a little 5x7 Canvas featuring some of the new pieces that were released earlier this year. I have entitled this canvas 'Josephine'.

I just love the chipboard and it's finishes on this project. Working on a smaller scaled canvas allows for the chipboard to be a lot more dominant.

Here are the chipboard elements I used.....

Zipper Frames
Foliage Set 9
Scribble Flower Set

To allow the chipboard to really pop from the canvas I painted them all in complimentary colours to match the background.

And then to make them stand out even more, I added some emboss powders to them. Firstly a pretty mint for the zipper frames.

And on the Scribble flowers a clear glaze was heat set to make them super shiny. This finish was also applied on the new foliage pieces. This makes the pink and greens really shimmer and shine.

I really love treating the chippy this way as it makes them really come to life.

I do hope this project inspires you a little. Thank you for joining me today.

Stay safe and crafty everyone.
Em xx
