Holly Jolly Star by Tania Ridgwell

 Hi there!
Tania joining you today to share a bonus DT project for December.
I have altered a Wooden Star for  Christmas.

2 Crafty Chipboard Used:

*Merry Christmas with Holly Branch
*Corner Thick Vine
*Poinsettia Set
*Foliage Set 18

I have used the gorgeous Mintay 'Holly Jolly' Collection to create the base for my star.

To colour my Merry Christmas chippie I painted on some Dylusions Dirty Martini onto the leaves, I painted Kaiser Red Iridescent Spray onto the berries and once it was dry I sprayed the whole piece with Kaiser Gold Shimmer Spray.  The Corner Thick Vine chippie was coloured with Chopped Pesto Dylusions Spray and once dry I dabbed on some Kaiser Gold Shimmer Spray.  The Poinsettia chippie I coloured with a mixture of Kaiser Red Iridescent & Gold Shimmer Sprays.  The Foliage chippies were first given a coat of gesso and then coloured with a mixture of Kaiser Red Iridescent & Gold Shimmer Sprays.

I decorated the star using fussy cut elements from the Holly Jolly Collection, added some coordinating paper blooms.  I tucked in the Corner Vine & Foliage Chippies amongst the fussy cut elements.  Added the Poinsettia chippie to the top left of my star and finished off by adding the Merry Christmas Title chippie.

Thats' all from me today, I hope I have inspired you all a little with my Christmas Star.
Until next time thanks so much for stopping by.

Altered Christmas Wreath by Tania Ridgwell

Hi there!
Tania joining you today to share my first project for November.
I have altered a Christmas Wreath that I picked up from Kmart.

2 Crafty Chipboard Used:

*Poinsettia Set
*Merry Christmas Title
*Holly Twig Branches
*Celebration Swirls

The wreath before I altered it.

I coloured the Poinsettia chippies with a mixture of Kaisercraft Red Iridescent & Gold Shimmer Sprays and the edges I painted with Brush Leaf Interior Antique Gold Paint.  The Holly Twig Branch chippies I coloured with Kaisercraft Rose Gold Iridescent & Gold Shimmer Sprays.  The Celebration Swirl chippies have been coloured with Heidi Swapp Chartreuse Color Shine and the Merry Christmas chippie I coloured with Kaisercraft Gold Shimmer Spray.

To construct the wreath I added all my Poinsettia chippie pieces first and then added my paper blooms.

I then tucked in the Holly Twig Branch chippies amongst the Poinsettia chippies and paper blooms.  I kept some of them as is and some of them I cut into pieces.

I add the Merry Christmas chippie title along the bottom of the Wreath and finished if off by randomly dabbing on some gesso onto the Wreath, chippie pieces and paper blooms to give it a snow like effect.

Thats' all from me today, I hope I have inspired you all a little with my Christmas Wreath.
Until next time thanks so much for stopping by.

"Love at Christmas"
Layout and video by Marie sabatier

Hello everyone,

I was inspired by this photo by ameriadesignstudio to create this layout.
The photos she creates inspire me, and this one guided my layout. Even though Christmas isn't quite here, I already enjoy using chipboards to immerse myself in the atmosphere.

"Love at Christmas"

The chipboard used:

I wanted to try a new technique for decorating chipboards.
I'm starting with these beautiful "poinsettias." I love them!
I use 49 and Market liquid inks with a water brush. Simply apply the ink to the chipboard, adjusting the amount of water to achieve different color intensities.

I use the colors "Strawberry Pie," "Watermelon," "Green Jean," and "Rainforest."
After positioning the photograph, I create embellishments on either side using the poinsettias, also incorporating holly twig branches and wire stars.

I apply white gesso to highlight the title "Love at Christmas" and the stars.
Two layers are applied to the title to increase its brightness.

I hope you liked the layout; I enjoyed making it!

Christmas Wreath by Tania Ridgwell

Hi there!
Tania joining you today to share my second project for December.
I have a Christmas Wreath for my second share.

2 Crafty Chipboard Used:

*Poinsettia Set
*Merry Christmas with Holly Branch
*Swirl 1

I have used a White Washed Wreath that I had in my stash to create this project.

I coloured the Merry Christmas with Holly Branch chippie title with Heidi Swapp Sweet Cherry Color Shine spray and once dry I added some Golden Glow Opal Polish to it.  The Poinsettia chippies have been coloured with Golden Glow Opal Polish and once dry I dabbed some of the Sweet Cherry Color Shine spray to the middles of each.  Once again when they were dry I add some Chartreuse Color Shine spray to the centres.   I coloured the Swirl chippies with Golden Glow Opal Polish and once these were dry I randomly dabbed on the Chartreuse Colour Shine Spray on them.

I added the Merry Christmas chippie title to the bottom centre of the wreath and then added the Poinsettia chippies randomly around the wreath.  I then added lots of paper blooms in amongst the chippie pieces.  I tucked in the Swirl chippies amongst the paper blooms.

To finish off my wreath I randomly sponged on some gesso on the flowers and chippies to give it a snow like effect.

Thats' all from me today,  I hope I have inspired you all a little with my Christmas Wreath.  I would like to thank everyone for all your support and comments you have given me over the last year.  Wishing you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS & SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR
Until next time thanks so much for stopping by.

"Christmas Moments to REMEMBER"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

Let me introduce you to my first inspiration from this month of November.
A Christmas-themed page, with a family photo taken last year.

I love all the new products offered by 2Crafty, a wide range to embellish each of your creations.

"Christmas Moments to REMEMBER"

The chipboard used:

- Christmas Moments to REMENBER
- Dotty Star Frames
- Curly Christmas Light Borders
- Poinsettia Set

As usual, I apply a coat of white gesso to each chipbopard.
For the "Dotty Star Frames" and "Curly Christmas Light Borders" particleboard, I use a metallic wax in the color "Celestial" which I apply delicately with my fingers.
I like this new frame for its finesse and originality.
I put in place this beautiful bright border that I fix only at both ends.

For this magnificent "Poinsettia" I used Distress Oxide inks "candide apple" "mode lawn"
and "peeled paint". To decorate I add a little white embossing powder.

I also used wax for the title, but thought it was too pale.
I also add effects using white embossing powder.
Getting a rendering as precise as the real thing is difficult, but in the end, it comes out very well.

I hope you are inspired to start your Christmas decorations.
Thank you very much for your visit!
