"A Daughter is a Little Girl"
Layout
with Amy Voorthuis

Goodmorning lovely 2Crafty friends,
I am so happy you stopped by the blog today, For today I have another layout to share with you, this time right up my alley a overload of pinks & a touch of teal/aqua. Those are my absolute favorite colors to scrap but who am I kidding lots of colors are. The picture I used is one of Abbey that I used once before for another project with 2Crafty Chipboard. Enjoy my post..

A Daughter is a Little Girl:

Amazing 2 Crafty Chipboards used:
 Bush Nut Floral Clusters
Page Tab Set
Victoria's Large Flourish
Mini Title Stick Set 4
A Daughter Friend Title
Delicate Butterflies
Hand-Drawn Flowers
Squiggly Circle Arrow Journal Spots

I did some fussy cutting for this layout and the chipboard pieces are treated with some white gesso. I used different colors of alcohol markers & and a text stamp on the pretty swirl that I cut up and tucked in my flower clusters.

Behind the pretty handdrawn flower & the arrow journal spot I added some of the light coloured text paper that is also in the top left corner of my layout. I cut the phrase apart and used on two spots on my layout. Loved making this layout!!

Hope you all enjoyed my post thank you so much for stopping by, I will be back with another project soon hope to see you back then....

In the Garden - with Emma Zappone

 Hello 2Crafty family.

 Emma with you today.
The Layout I'm sharing today is a floral garden vibed creation using some stunning chipboard pieces.

And here are the pieces used....

Hand Drawn Flowers
Florence Swirl set
6" Mandala No.3

This page is an 8"x12", a format I'm starting to play with more and more.
I was going to leave all the chipboard raw originally, which I very rarely do, but I just couldn't do it....well not all the pieces anyway.

So instead of leaving it raw, I added a glaze over the larger pieces of chipboard, such as the Hand Drawn Flower head and the Mandala. No priming of the chipboard just emboss ink and a glaze.

Adding a double glaze to the Florence Swirls really added some beautiful shine.

The leaves that I trimmed off the flower were left raw, they added a 'colour' tone all on their own, this way they stood out against the darker glazed pieces.

I hope you are inspired by my page, and get some creative time this weekend.
I look forward to sharing my next project with you all very soon.

Stay crafty, Em xx

The Beautiful Moments - with Emma Zappone & BONUS VIDEO

Happy Thursday!
Emma today with you and I'm sharing a soft feminine layout with you all.

And these are the gorgeous chipboard pieces featured....
Clock Face Discs
Hand drawn Flowers
Window Shutter set 3

These pieces are just asking to be used and so i generously obliged...hehehe!

I started by prepping my chipboard with gesso. everything but the small clock face was primed with a white Gesso. The clock face was with a Black Gesso.

My choice of medium for the pieces to come to life was 3 different coloured Distress Glazes.
The beautiful Window shutter was treated with all 3 colours starting with Vintage Photo, then hitting it in spots with a little Peeled paint, finally finishing it off with a light sprinkling of Antique Linen to really give it a Shabby Chic feel.

The flower and leaves only had the antique Linen and peeled paint. I love how on the chippy it just beads and shines beautifully. Lastly the Clock had Vintage photo and peeled paint, the colour doesn't pop quite the same on black but it sure does glisten!

You can see all the chipboard treatments and the layout come together in this video I made for you to enjoy. I hope you get a little inspiration from it also.

I will see you soon, stay crafty!
Em xx

Token to my heart
by Sabrina Turpin

Hello 2Crafty friends!

I hope you're all doing well. The layout I'm sharing today features Neho, our very own good boy! He's now a teenager dog and just like his human teenage brother and sister, he likes to sleep a lot during the day and turns into full party mode during the night! They form a great team!

"Token to my heart"

For the "Handdran Flowers", I applied 2 coats of green embossing ink.

On the "Trudi's Vine", I used ivory-green embossing enamel.

On the "Frame Fine Circle with Butterflies", I applied a coat of brown alchool ink and then rubbed a bit of gold wax on top with my finger. Finally, I dabbed a bit of white embossing ink. For the title "Token of my Heart Set", I used two coats of rusty charcoal paint, then rubbed some gold wax on top.

I used the following 2Crafty chipboards in this layout:

Handdrawn Flowers [m00580]
Frame Fine Circle with Butterflies [fr0126]
Trudi's Vine [db0111]
Token of my heart Set [m00889]

That's all for me today! I hope you enjoyed my creation and it gave you some inspiration for your own! I'll be back in a few weeks with a new layout to share with you. Until then, take care and happy crafting!

Magic....My One Little Word for 2019
by Tammy Klingner

Hi everybody, Tam here today.
Welcome to another year, I'm excited to share my creations with you again!
This first one is titled:

"Magic"

It's all about my One Little Word for 2019.
I've been selecting a word each year for a while now, inspired by the inspiring Ali Edwards.
Some have been hugely powerful, and really caused a year of self reflection and personal growth.  Some are still a big part of my life, and I continue to focus on them regularly.
This year I'm inviting Magic into my life.

I love finding the everyday magic all around us.
I love that when I notice the magic I feel grateful, happy, filled up.
You can read more about my reasons behind the word Magic HERE.

I added white gesso and some distress oxides to the 'Rose Set'.
I love the watercolour effect this gives.

To the leaves from the 'Handdrawn Flowers Set', I added white gesso and then white paint.
I love the contrast against the black background and the pops of colour.

As my word is 'Magic', I trimmed this word from the 'The Magic of You' title.
I added white gesso and then some Distress Ink to the title.
I love that pop of fuschia, and how it picks up the background.

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:
'The Magic of You Title'
'Handdrawn Flowers'
'Rose Set'

I just love how the 2Crafty Chipboard can be altered to the perfect colours to match my layout!

Finally I added my journaling around the edges of the layout.

That's it from me today, I hope this has inspired you!
I wish you a creative year ahead, and I will pop back again a bit later
in the month with some more inspiration.

Escape Layout by Bec Genet

Hi everyone, it's Bec here and today is my day to share my first layout for October.
I have a soft and floral layout to show you, I love the light pink and purple tones
with just a hint of blue.

2Crafty Chipboard Used:
Anna's Flourish
Handdrawn Flowers
6" Messy Square Frames
Mini Travel Word Set 2

I love these Handdrawn flowers!!
They are so delicate and pretty. To colour them I first coated them with white gesso before adding a pale pink and purple watercolours to the flowers and a very light green watercolour to the leaves.

I placed the Anna's Flourish along the left side of my photo. I treated this piece the same as the Handdrawn flowers and coloured it with a pale pink watercolour.
I used the smallest Messy Square frame on this layout, I coloured it a darker purple and cut it in half to place on the right side and bottom of my photo.
I used the word 'Escape' from the Mini Travel Word set 2 and just left this white from the gesso.

Thanks for visiting

July Inspiration "My happy place" by Marie Sabatier

This is my second page for this month of July.

I have created a very soft and gentle theme.

A photo taken in nature that goes well with the choice of chipboard.

To create interest on the bottom of my page I applied a drawing with a stencil and embossing paste that I covered with embossing powder to give more texture and shine.

For the chipboard flower I just covered it with a metallic bright color Mintgreen paint

For the title and the frame I painted and applied a wax

For the cage I applied an embossing powder

Finally, I added embellishments ....

The chips used :

- Avery Frame
- Pretty Birdcage
- Beaded Hanging Hearts
- Handdrawn Flowers
- My happy place

That's my inspiration for this month of July

So much fun to create !!!
