"Capture the moment"
Layout and video by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

For my first for March, I created this layout using photos taken at Monument Valley during my son and daughter-in-law’s honeymoon trip in December 2024.
The desert landscapes, warm tones and wide open skies were my main inspiration for this page.
I chose a horizontal layout with three photos for a clean and balanced composition, allowing the photos and chipboards to really shine.

"Capture the moment"

A video of this layout is also available if you’d like to see the details up close.

The chipboard used:

As usual, I started by applying a layer of white gesso. I worked with a warm and natural color palette using Distress Oxide Stormy Sky, Vintage Photo, Antique Linen, with a few subtle touches of Spiced Marmalade.
I chose papers from the Wanderlust Explorer collection by 49 and Market, as their soft, natural tones blend beautifully with the photos and the colors used on the chipboards.

The Steampunk Gear Border is a key element of this layout. I used it as a base under the photos to add movement and structure. I first applied Stormy Sky as a base to give a cool, slightly metallic look, then added Vintage Photo sprayed with water to create a soft, patinated effect. This layering adds depth while keeping everything cohesive.

The Steampunk Gears Medium were colored in the same shades to complete the look.
I created a small cluster using the Page Tab Set chipboard, adding a subtle detail that balances the composition and guides the eye.

I added elements from the Travel Icon Set to enhance the story of travel and adventure, keeping their colors soft and muted so they blend naturally into the design.

The Capture the moment title was colored in warm tones to blend perfectly with the desert colors, while the small Road Trip title reinforces the travel theme.

Thank you so much for stopping by and for your interest in this project.
Feel free to watch the video to discover all the details of the layout.

Double Trouble - Laura Gilhuly

 Hi everyone!
Laura back today to share another masculine layout I created of our sons!

2Crafty Products used:

Double Trouble
Tickets
View Finder
Moroccan Bits
6" Circle Revolution Frame
Aged Film Strip
Chevron Bits
Page Tab Set

I primed all the chipboard with clear gesso including the center section of the revolution frames.

I then covered the chipboard with a mix of lumberjack plaid, rustic wilderness, and scorched timber distress inks that I sprayed with water then allowed to dry naturally.  I inked the outer edges of each piece with the scorched timber ink also

I wanted to use the highlights of red from the awesome papers because Ty's bike he built was red and I love the highlights it provided and it made the title stand out.

Thanks for stopping by

"World Traveller"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

Welcome to the 2Crafty website.
I present you my second inspiration of this March.
An invitation to travel with a layout embellished with a collection of splendid chipboards,
accompanied by photos of my grandchildren during a train trip.

"World Traveller"

The chipboard used:

I went a bit overboard with the number of chipboards, but I liked them all!
I outlined the center of my page with a solid-colored piece of paper.
I positioned my two photos that I framed with the chipboards "thin-square-stacked-frames" that I embellished using embossing powders of Lindy’s Gang color "Golden Angel Wings".At an angle of the photos, I create a cluster of embellishment, I add a tab "page-tab-set". They are great to bring a little bit of detail. In order to create a contrast, I add some "grungy-spatter-bits" that I tinted darker.

I used a piece of the 'luggage' chipboard.
I used embossing powder to embellish it and personalized it with embellishments from the paper collection. I love how it turned out. It's what makes scrapbooking so magical. In the background of the title, I add a chipboard "circle-arrow-journal-spots".  To make it more obvious, I place a 'laser-cut' element in the center. I choose to leave the title covered with a single layer of white gesso, simply.

On each photo, I added a phrase with the "mini-title-stick-set-6" chipboard, which I also embellished with embossing powder. For an extra touch of fun, I added white embossing powder. The first piece I glued to the center of the plain paper was the "world-globe" chipboard. I used a wide range of colors to achieve a result that suited me!!!

        A close-up showing the chipboards I used.

As always, I loved the transformation of each chipboard.
Thank you so much for stopping by.

"A Daughter is a Little Girl"
Layout
with Amy Voorthuis

Goodmorning lovely 2Crafty friends,
I am so happy you stopped by the blog today, For today I have another layout to share with you, this time right up my alley a overload of pinks & a touch of teal/aqua. Those are my absolute favorite colors to scrap but who am I kidding lots of colors are. The picture I used is one of Abbey that I used once before for another project with 2Crafty Chipboard. Enjoy my post..

A Daughter is a Little Girl:

Amazing 2 Crafty Chipboards used:
 Bush Nut Floral Clusters
Page Tab Set
Victoria's Large Flourish
Mini Title Stick Set 4
A Daughter Friend Title
Delicate Butterflies
Hand-Drawn Flowers
Squiggly Circle Arrow Journal Spots

I did some fussy cutting for this layout and the chipboard pieces are treated with some white gesso. I used different colors of alcohol markers & and a text stamp on the pretty swirl that I cut up and tucked in my flower clusters.

Behind the pretty handdrawn flower & the arrow journal spot I added some of the light coloured text paper that is also in the top left corner of my layout. I cut the phrase apart and used on two spots on my layout. Loved making this layout!!

Hope you all enjoyed my post thank you so much for stopping by, I will be back with another project soon hope to see you back then....

'Everyday Adventures'
with Lisa Amiet

 Hello all!
It's Lisa here today to share my first layout for 2025.

I have been super lucky being able to create
with 2Crafty Chipboard for the past I think 7 years,
and I hope to be able to bring you more layouts in the future.

So here's to 2025 :)

'Everyday Adventures'

2Crafty products used:

- Everyday Adventures Title
- Mini Chunky Funky Bits
- Grungy Splatter Bits
- Page Tab Set

For this layout, I chose a grungy vibe
and gave it a mixed media background.
I then used one of the 'Grungy Splatter Bits',
which I have finished with black ink,
and tucked in next to my photo.

I have also used a few of the 'Mini Chunky Funky Bits',
which I left raw but inked the edges lightly with black ink.

I also used one of the tabs from the 'Page Tab Set',
that I finished with blue ink to coordinate with my papers.

To finish, I used the 'Everyday Adventures Title',
that I finished in the same blue ink.

I really love this photo of my three favourite people!
I also love how this layout turned out,
I hope that you like it too!

Until next time!!

Lisa
