Hello 2Crafty fans! Today I want to share with you all these two projects I created using the gorgeous 2Crafty chippies.
"Smile"

My first project is a mixed media layout. I used some soft and pastel colors here.

Some close ups-

Cut up pieces of the Bubbly Reed Panel, and some of the very cute ATC
 Tiny Hearts and below the ATC Birdhouse and Bird.

The chipboard is given a coat of white acrylic paint and then I gave some splatters of colors.

 After drying them with heat gun,I used some ink and stamped using script stamp.

The Bubble Reed background chipboard has been cut into parts and used here & there..    2Crafty Chipboards used- Bubbly Reed panel Card circles set 1 ATC Tiny Hearts and stars Birdhouse  

"Altered Box"

My second project is this Altered Trinket box

I painted my chippies in shades of gold,plum,blue etc and then outlined them using 

white gel pen. I also stamped on them using archival ink.

I have used the following chippies - Frame round Ornate Handdrawn feathers Turkish lattice panel

"Crazy Santa Hat"

  2Crafty has some fabulous Christmas chipboard pieces,  so I thought I'd make some layouts using photos from past Christmases  to share this December. This is my sister and her family from a couple of years ago  being silly with a crazy Santa hat.  

How wonderful are the "Mini Reindeers." I treated the reindeer with a white 

embossing powder that has silver glitter in it, so it's festive and sparkly. 

I adorned him with a red Zing glitter-embossed star from "ATC Tiny Hearts and Stars" 

and mounted him atop a "Small Filmstrip" inked with black ink.

This lovely script word is from the "Christmas Mini Word Set 1." 

I used the same sparkly embossing powder on this.

The Santa word is also from the "Christmas Mini Word Set 1." 

The word HAT was created with letters from "Alpha Set 1." 

I painted the letters green and then sprinkled a green glitter on them. 

More stars from the "ATC Tiny Hearts and Stars" were treated 

with silver Zing embossing powder and sprinkled about for a magical touch.

  A silver embossed "Funky Snowflake" drew attention to my sister's picture,  which I layered over a waste piece of chipboard from the   "Polaroid Assortment Frames." "Pure Joy"

This is my {step}dad who passed away Christmas before last wearing the same Santa Hat. 

I've been making pages for my mom, and I'll give this to her this Christmas.

 There's lots and lots of glitter and shimmer on this page, 

but the camera unfortunately didn't pick up the beautiful sparkle. 

You can see some of the sparkle on my closeups

I decided to use a whole pack of the "Mini Bauble Trees" on my layout. 

I coated them with silver and gold Zing glittery embossing powder. 

The little circles on the branches are perfect for adding jewels or pearls. 

I used white sparkly embossing powder on the "Pure Joy" title.

The frame from the "Polaroid Assortment Frames" was coated in the same 

sparkly white embossing powder, as was the Celebrate from the "Card Word Circles - Sentiments." A gold-glitter embossed "Funky Snowflake" added a little extra something 

to the frame. Finally, I added tiny stars from the "ATC Tiny Hearts and Stars" 

to mimic falling snowflakes. I painted them with white acrylic paint and then brushed them 

with Icicle Stickles, which gave them a lovely iridescent shine to match 

the torn paper snowbanks, which I also coated with the Stickles under the Christmas trees.

Melenia's last project

Hello, 2 Crafty Chipboard fans!
Time does pass by very quickly and I find myself making my last post as a Resident Guest Designer here at 2 Crafty! I had a wonderful time playing and designing my pages with these amazing chippies and I need to thank Vanessa Tiberti & Di Garling for having me in this dream team!
So today I will share with you a page that I totally based upon the following chipboard:
Mini Word Set 1 Card Word Circles - Sentiments Word Circles Set 2
(I just wanted to use ALL the circles I had in my stash to create bubbles!)

Ok this is my page
"Always enjoy the beauty of the moment"

As you see, I followed the pattern of my cardstock paper.

So I placed my chipboard on it, in a way

that makes them look like they are floating

and/or leaving the page in an upward motion.

The clusters of embellishments around the photo tend to steal the eye's attention,

and I needed my chipboard to be really eye-catching this time,

so I worked on them for quite some time.

I gessoed them first and then I added ink in different forms:

splashes, droplets, brushed. I stamped on some of them, too!

Also, I highlighted my circles using a pencil,

so they would stand out and be more prominent!

I added the wonderful word sentiments to create my title and after painting them gold, I sprinkled glitter on them for ultra-sparkle! So I guess that's everything from me! Thanks for visiting the 2 Crafty Chipboard blog! And remember, to find a 2Crafty stock list near you, drop an email to...

Melenia's creations for February

Hello, hello! Melenia with you today,  to share a couple of layouts with the amazing 2 Crafty chipboard! First of all, I would like to show you my page for the collaboration of 2 Crafty with the Color Stories Inspiration challenge blog. I tried to solve the #154 case and this is my layout
"This is The Good Life"

As you see, I based the design of the page

on the lovely title, which I cut

and put its pieces horizontally across my page.

  I applied gesso to the first word, & sprinkled it with glitter. The next two words and painted & the last two with bright red, because I wanted to stress their meaning. There's glitter everywhere in the title,  but I wanted the "good life" to stand out and  draw the attention, as well as have the dominant colour  of my photo, that is red, so that's why it's red.  

  On the back of my photo, you can see some Hessian Patch Panel pop out. I find this panel fascinating and it matches perfectly with the overall style of the page, the wood background and the paper basket the strawberries are in.  I added some gesso and a little bit of green ink, so  that it blends nicely with the rest of my embellishments.  

  Last but not least, the funky heart swirl served as the finishing part of my cluster,  a nice ending which leads to the journalling. It's as if it points to it, isn't it? I just sprinkled it with glitter, because its original colour is amazingly the same with my  background. On top of my flowers, I placed the Celebrate circle, just another hint, accenting the message of my layout. I always want my pages to SAY something, so all my elements serve this purpose.
Other than that, there are but few more embellishments on my page,  because as I have said in the past, 2 Crafty Chipboard can be more than enough stuff to create a beautiful page.   2 Crafty chipboard used: "This is the good life" title Card Word Circles Sentiments Funky Heart Swirls Hessian Patch Panels       "A Bowl of Berries"
Now to my second layout. The Funky Heart Swirls are an integral part of my page (which was made for 13 Arts) as you see here.  

  Now these amazing swirls went through a waterfall of fluids (gesso and three different kind of mists and inks) and they were still hard and sturdy!! Amazing quality!  

I glued Silver Microspheres and Hologram Glitter
on them, to enhance their beauty. I also looped black thread around them for a more messy effect.

My December Projects by Margaret Mifsud

Hello everyone, and welcome.   So, Christmas has come and gone and I hope you all had a fabulous day and didn't suffer too much with the holiday hangover.  Now we can look forward to the New Year and, probably, an even worse hangover!!  LOL!! It's my turn again to share some things I made using some fabulous pieces from 2Crafty. First up is a very masculine card made for my oldest son's Birthday last month.  
2 Crafty Chipboard used Hessian Patch Panel World Globe & Ink Set

I only used the quill and ink bottle from the World Globe & Ink Set.  The ink bottle was coloured with Black Soot Distress Ink and then covered in Glossy Accents.  For the quill, I coloured the feather with VersaMagic Cloud White and added some light shading with VersaMagic  Midnight Black.  The spine was then coloured with  Distress Ink and coated with Glossy Accents.

The Hessian Patch Panel was cut into three pieces and was left mainly raw.  It was just lightly sponged with gesso as I didn't want too much colour on it.  The pieces were then layered in between the papers.  I really love how it looks, it just added the perfect accent to my card.

  The next card is soft and feminine. 2Crafty Chipboard used Birdcage 1 Card Word Circles - Sentiment

Both chipboard pieces were treated in the same manner.  Firstly coloured with VersaColor Umber and then coated with Glossy Accents.  One of the reasons I love working with this chipboard is, you don't have to go to great lengths to make it look fantastic.  You can either just leave it raw or use very simple techniques to add the colour you need.

These Card Word Circles are simply fabulous, they are the perfect size for any card and you get a selection of 6 different greetings in each pack.

The Birdcage comes in a pack of two and you get two little birds with it as well although I didn't use them here.  

Last but not least (my fave actually), is an AT Block. 2Crafty Chipboard used ATC Hearts & Stars Interlocking Grid Panel Funky Heart Swirls Summer Leaf Stems

... right side with 1 piece of the Summer Leaf Stems and 1 piece from the Funky Heart Swirls on the lid ...

... and the left side with another piece from the Summer Leaf Stems.

Both of the Summer Leaf Stems were coloured with Peeled Paint Distress Ink.  I also opened up the tips of the leaves by wetting them thoroughly and then gently separating the layers.  Once dry I coloured the inside with Pine Needles DI.  I  then sprinkled some clear glitter on the leaves for a bit of sparkle.

The Interlocking Grid Panel was heat embossed in silver and then I very gently bent it to fit around one corner of the Block.  Once it was glued down I added some micro beads to the section on the front.

Tucked in amongst the flowers are the small stars from the ATC Hearts and Stars.  I attached them to some wire so they would stand up and also added some micro beads to the front.

 The main stem of the Funky Heart Swirl was lightly coated in gesso and then sprinkled with glitter.   The little hearts were coloured with nail polish and, while they were still wet, I added some micro beads ...  

... and so, as this is my last post for 2014 ...
