'Remember This' with Lisa Amiet

 

Hello 2Crafty fans!
It's Lisa here today to share some scrappy inspiration with you.

'Remember This'

2Crafty products used:

For this layout, I used one of the 'Aged Film Strip'
that I have finished with a bright white embossing powder. 

I have also used two of the flourishes from 'Flourish Set 4',

at the corner of my photo. 

I then used one of the 'Mini Decorative Frame Set 8', 

that I have used to back my flowers, on top of the flourishes. 

Again I used a bright white embossing finish. 

I have then used one of the 'Birdcage 1', 

layered with a sentiment and a butterfly, 

and I used the bird near my scroll and frame cluster. 

Again these were finished in bright white. 

I hope that you like what I have created,

My December Projects by Margaret Mifsud

Hello everyone, and welcome.   So, Christmas has come and gone and I hope you all had a fabulous day and didn't suffer too much with the holiday hangover.  Now we can look forward to the New Year and, probably, an even worse hangover!!  LOL!! It's my turn again to share some things I made using some fabulous pieces from 2Crafty. First up is a very masculine card made for my oldest son's Birthday last month.  
2 Crafty Chipboard used Hessian Patch Panel World Globe & Ink Set

I only used the quill and ink bottle from the World Globe & Ink Set.  The ink bottle was coloured with Black Soot Distress Ink and then covered in Glossy Accents.  For the quill, I coloured the feather with VersaMagic Cloud White and added some light shading with VersaMagic  Midnight Black.  The spine was then coloured with  Distress Ink and coated with Glossy Accents.

The Hessian Patch Panel was cut into three pieces and was left mainly raw.  It was just lightly sponged with gesso as I didn't want too much colour on it.  The pieces were then layered in between the papers.  I really love how it looks, it just added the perfect accent to my card.

  The next card is soft and feminine. 2Crafty Chipboard used Birdcage 1 Card Word Circles - Sentiment

Both chipboard pieces were treated in the same manner.  Firstly coloured with VersaColor Umber and then coated with Glossy Accents.  One of the reasons I love working with this chipboard is, you don't have to go to great lengths to make it look fantastic.  You can either just leave it raw or use very simple techniques to add the colour you need.

These Card Word Circles are simply fabulous, they are the perfect size for any card and you get a selection of 6 different greetings in each pack.

The Birdcage comes in a pack of two and you get two little birds with it as well although I didn't use them here.  

Last but not least (my fave actually), is an AT Block. 2Crafty Chipboard used ATC Hearts & Stars Interlocking Grid Panel Funky Heart Swirls Summer Leaf Stems

... right side with 1 piece of the Summer Leaf Stems and 1 piece from the Funky Heart Swirls on the lid ...

... and the left side with another piece from the Summer Leaf Stems.

Both of the Summer Leaf Stems were coloured with Peeled Paint Distress Ink.  I also opened up the tips of the leaves by wetting them thoroughly and then gently separating the layers.  Once dry I coloured the inside with Pine Needles DI.  I  then sprinkled some clear glitter on the leaves for a bit of sparkle.

The Interlocking Grid Panel was heat embossed in silver and then I very gently bent it to fit around one corner of the Block.  Once it was glued down I added some micro beads to the section on the front.

Tucked in amongst the flowers are the small stars from the ATC Hearts and Stars.  I attached them to some wire so they would stand up and also added some micro beads to the front.

 The main stem of the Funky Heart Swirl was lightly coated in gesso and then sprinkled with glitter.   The little hearts were coloured with nail polish and, while they were still wet, I added some micro beads ...  

... and so, as this is my last post for 2014 ...

Elena's February Projects

Hello everyone!  Today I have a couple of  projects I want to share with you  that I've made for a friend of mine. Her daughter finishes school in May  and she wanted to collect some of her photos to make an album. So the first one is called.....   **My Sunshine**

  I used a 2 Crafty title,  My Sunshine, which I had  left from a  previous project.  I embossed it with two different  embossing powders, golden and teal, and here it is how it turned out.  

 I've created  some textures and grunge here on Clock Face Frame.

 

  I covered Clock Frame Partly with gesso, then applied  Perfect Medium  using a brush and then embossed it.   

  The same technique was used on Parisian Border.  

  Which I cut into two  parts.  

  For My second Layout **Happy Together** I used candy bright colors and a photo taken more than 10 years ago.  

  I liked the idea with the tree so I used Flourish X-mas Tree (who said it can be only be used for  Christmas?)      I 've cut it into two parts. I didn't want to loose it, so, I topped one  branch on top of the photo and the other half I  placed on the other  side of the photo.  

  I gessoed it initially and then applied two tones of acrylic paint  with a sponge. Next I decorated it with the bling and placed   flowers under the main part of the tree.  

The same technique was used on 

Corner Geneive.

Finally my last layout for today,

( I was struggling which one to choose, as I use 

2Crafty on almost everything I do)

I decided to show you the one I made for CSI  #59

featuring a Love theme.

I used Love Frame Set.

 I painted one with white gesso, the other with black gesso.

I just inked the third one.

Elena's November Mood

November is a very hard month for me to bear. It is too dull, too dark, too rainy, too cold in my part of the world. So I am struggling with this awful mood and here is my bright projects but still under November's influence for you.

The first one is called Mother & Daughter   Yes, you are right , I love to use our photos in my projects  

I decided to maintain the color palette used in Prima's papers and flowers, so I have a delightful pleasure to be warmed with this turquoise blue and peach shadows. But I wanted to add some shabby colors too, so I kept  the white accents on the chipboard. I used the title Mother & Daughter  

 I covered it with white Crackle Paint, then dabbed with acrylic paint in blue, turquoise and guava. I used a sponge to make some random spots.  Then I mounted some flowers on it, just wrapping them over the alphas.

The same technique I used on a  Bunch of roses  

I just added flowers to it, to add  more texture to create a bouquet.   Also I tried to keep a more visible crackle effect on  ATC Georgian Frame and just added the ink on the edges.  

  I used it as a padding for the resin embellishment I kept the blue colors on the Birdcage 1 too.  

  I primed it with Gesso, then misted with Lindy's Staburst mist for some shimmering and then sprayed with Dyllusions ink. and you can see this 2-tone result on the chipboard cage.     

  For my second layout I used autumn colors. 

    I have started randomly gessoing the chipboard. Then I added some acrylic paint with a sponge and a metallic acrylic paint with my brush   Birds on a Wire,

   I cut them and the other part I have already used on the other project   Penny Farthing

 I placed a big flower on it, which was gessoed too   

  I wanted to add some rusty look on Old Fence, so I painted it roughly with a dry brush and  the edges on the Miniature tree were inked with the chalk ink  

I used the same techniques on Grass Clumps     Finally my last Layout. I was thinking which one to share with you,  and decided to finish with some winter colors. Next time I think I will have something  Christmas, so please stay tuned to see my Christmas projects. but this time I want to show one of my favorite that I made for Manor House Creations.  

It is a photo of me with my son. I love the tenderness of baby's skin.  All of you who are mothers know this adorable feeling  of care and the smell of nativity. That is why I choose the title  Timeless Moments to Remember  

I primed this piece with gesso, then applied texture paste and dabbed in blue acrylic paint .  Next I took some Shimmerz and with a thin brush painted some stripes.
