"dreams" Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

I present my first inspiration of this April.

A layout in idyllic tones for a dream day, accompanied by a variety of romantic chipboards 

and photos of my daughter-in-law.

"dream"

The chipboard used:

arrow-word-set-1

frame-mini-doodled-set

lacey-border-set-1

beaded-hanging-heart-set

   

As usual, I prepare the chipboards by applying a layer of white gesso.

 They were all embellished in the same way, using Lindy's Gang ink in 'Grab a Guy Gold'.

I start my layout by placing the "lacey-border-set-1" chipboard.

To frame my photos, I use these beautiful frames from "frame-mini-doodled-set".

They are so delicate. I love them!

It's been a long time since I've used these "arrow-word-set-1". I find it fits in perfectly with this layout.

Frames are commonly offered in different sizes, which is very useful for highlighting 

small details in a photo.

Here I'm using the "beaded-hanging-heart-set" chipboards to make a dreamcatcher.

Adventure By Marie Claude Rodier

Hello lovelies,

This stunning background paper was in my stash for a while and I hadn’t figured out how to use it. Combining steampunk and flowers to my usual soft tones and shabby style was quite a challenge for me. I dug into my 2Crafty chippies stash and realized that these amazing aztec arrows were a perfect match for this background. In the end, I am really happy with the final result and how easy it was to integrate steampunk to my layout.

Adventure

6" Butterfly Clock Frame and Clock face Discs were embossed with Wow white puff powder, which adds extra texture and dimension. Butterfly clock was tucked over the main clustering bringing attention over the B&W picture. Smallest clock face disk was placed among right cluster. 

Aztec Arrows Set 1 elements were covered with Wow Black Puff powder, cut apart and placed above and under the paper cluster.

Adventure word part of Arrow Word Set 1 was embossed with light blue Lindy’s Gang powder. Blue and teal tones are contrasting nicely with the earty tones of the background.

Pirate notebook by Elena

Hello my dear friends!!!

Today I want to show you my new notebook for a cheeky boy

 who loves stories about travel and pirates.

This young boy will write the best memories of his summer.

I used a Mina Frame for the cover whose curls resemble the waves of the sea.

Delightful Anchor engraved also came in handy!

The spine of the notebook is decorated with ribbons and cords with beads and pendants.

There are more than just pages for notes in notepad but also many pages for photos.

 I decorated one of them with  Gears Small

 and an arrow with the inscription from the  Arrow Word Set 1

The chipboard inscription on the next page calls for the most incredible adventures!

Again gears and arrow with the inscription.

And on the right a page with a large envelope,
 I added the same anchor as on the cover, only it's bigger.

"Create"A Canvas by Marie Claude Rodier

Hi everyone!

Today, I'm showing you something different from my usual layout.

This time, I used several pieces of 2Crafty Chipboards to create
a small canvas that will decorate my craft room.

I started by painting the canvas and all chipboards in black gesso.

When everything was completely dry, I applied modelling paste through a stencil.

Once dry, I applied gold and copper wax over the stencil pattern.

Then the fun part started, embellishing!!!

I applied gold wax over Film Strips Small and then copper wax as highlights.

I also randomly applied white gesso as final touches.

Gold and Peacock waxes were applied to Create title.

Decorative Doily was mainly covered with Turquoise, Firebird and Peacok waxes.

Touches of white gesso were also added here and there.

Sharon's Butterfly was covered with Copper and Firebird waxes.

Finally, chipboards were glued down on top of each others.

"Sweet" Layout by Marie Sabatier

For my layout today I was inspired by this photo

of a little boy, "Preyston".

it is a very recent photo but I printed it in a vintage way.

2Crafty Chipboard Used:

- Arrow word set 1

- Doodled-Frames

- Seaweed Set

- Winter Twig

- Mesh Bits

I wanted to keep the wood effect of the chipboards, 

so I applied on each chipboard without insisting a little white gesso.

Then a mixture of white gesso with a turquoise ink

and to finish a little wax natural color.

I found original to frame the boat the chipboard "Doodled-Frames" 

is well highlighted this way.

 Only on the title and on the chipboard "WinterTwig".

 Flowers, pebbles, embellishments to sublimate everything and voila!

I like the effect.

I hope this creation has given you ideas to create you too!
