The super CUTE Buttons I've used have been
inked with a grey & then added pink cord to a couple

The rest of the chipboard pieces, I started with given them all a coat of gesso!
and leaving as is, the gorgeous delicate Artdeco heart...
And the fancy border I cut in half before adhering
1 half to the top & other to bottom of my page....

Once the gesso had dried on the Autumn leaves
I've inked the edges with a nice green

And lastly for the title...

with a rose pink then dabbing off
some of the pink with a baby wipe!

The 'Love Flourish' has a thick coat of gesso & finished off with some fine splatters of blue...

The delicate 'Jewellery Strands' have a very light coat of gesso, cut in half &
placed top & bottom of the photo of my girl......

The gorgeous 'Graceful Butterfly' has a couple of coats of gesso,
then inked with a Distress Dark blue ink....

The 'Hibiscus' also has a coat of gesso & then inked with a Distress pale pink....
Finished with some blue fine splatters & micro beads & beads.

The 'Indian feathers' have a coat of gesso & inked the edges with a teal ink....

'Capture'

'Capture' layout which features one of my nephew's....

2 Crafty Chipboard used:
Bubble words
Domino tiles
Mixed buttons
Polaroid frame
Mini word set 1 (Capture word)
Funky Arrows

On my background & underneath my photo is a negative chipboard piece for a extra
dimension layer, then I have placed some Domino tiles on & around this negative piece,
then given all this chipboard a light coat of gesso....
To create a bit more interest to the background I have inked 3 of the domino's with yellow ink!!

I have added a couple of the Funky arrows which have been inked black!

With the Mixed Buttons, I wanted them to stand out & have heat embossed them with a white....

The bubble word (COOL) where I have cut away the triangle piece & the Capture word
from the Mini Word Set #1 both have a couple of coats of gesso....

For the Polaroid frame, I started by giving it a coat of gesso, once dried I gave it a
spray with a royal blue mist & adhering the frame it to the photo!

Hopefully I've inspired you in some way....

This layout was made using the beautiful Forget -Me-Not collection from Lemoncraft accented with fabulous 2Crafty chipboard pieces.  Below is a photo of the chipboard that I used. If you scroll down the page, I added a quick step-by-step showing how I made the chipboard flowers.
  • 2Crafty Chipboard -Cartia Swirl m00347
  • 2Crafty Chipboard - Buttons m00425
  • 2Crafty Chipboard -Sakura Flowers

I took this photo of my family and thought it needed some delicate papers with
chipboard pieces that added flow and movement to the page.

This is a pretty good shot that captures all three of the chipboard pieces that I
selected. I added white embossing powder to all the chipboard to start.

The little starburst shapes are the insides of the "Sakura" flowers.
The "Buttons" have a bit of brown inking on the edges.

Here's how I made the chipboard flowers
Step 1.  Emboss -  I embossed the flowers with white embossing powder.  I embossed the flower centers with light teal and set aside.

Step 2.  Separate the Layers - To over simplify, chipboard is layer upon layer of cardboard.  If you add a bit of water to the chipboard, you can get the layers to separate.  That's' what I did here.  I misted the chipboard lightly with water  - very lightly.  I used tweezers to separate the layers and lift them, keeping the center attached.   Then I heat dried them to stay raised and dimensional. Heating also makes paper a little bit stiffer.

Step 3.  Assembling the Flower -  I colored the petals white with a Sharpie.  Paint would have been ok too but my Sharpie was very quick.  Add a punch for the center, and then the chipboard starburst piece.  Top with a small rose or flower.

Step 4.  Finishing Touches - I used a brown ink pad to give the chipboard flower some accents.  I actually used Distress Ink in Vintage Photo
Here are a few more close ups of the finished chipboard flower.
This shows how delicate it is.

Chipboard does not need to be flat.  As you can see it makes for gorgeous layered dimensional embellishments as well.
 Thank you for stopping by!
