August Layouts by Rachael Funnell

'Motocross'

Hello everyone!
Today I have two layouts to share using some FABULOUS 2 Crafty Chipboard......
My first layout 'Motocross' featuring my hubby & son!

2 Crafty Chipboard used:

2017
Giant gears
Steampunk medium gears
Steampunk small gears
Assorted Arrows
Motocross Title

I'm sure you know by now, I am a BIG FAN of also using up those
negative/leftover chipboard pieces...
Here I've used negative/leftover chipboard piece from the Steampunk medium gears,
which has been coated with gesso, creating another texture layer..... Then inking some
of the Steampunk small gears with colours inspired by the photo.... red, blue, black & yellow, placing these small gears inside of the gaps!!

Another negative/leftover chipboard piece....this time the
circle piece sitting on the photo is from 6" clock face frames...

The Giant gears have a couple of coats of gesso & the Asst Arrows
place throughout my layout have been inked with a light brown....

The Motocross title has a few treatments, started of with a coat of gesso, the sprayed with
a blue mist spray.... Then to give a it some more texture, randomly added some fine white sand (purchased this sand from a discount store) finished it with another spray of blue mist....

'Sparkle'

My second layout going all girly this time. featuring my gorgeous girl.....

2 Crafty Chipboard used:
"Don't let anyone ever dull your Sparkle"- title
Ivy Clusters
Cassie Flourish
ATC - Tiny Hearts
12" Parisian border

With the 12" Parisian border inked very randomly with a dark brown,
cut into 2 pieces & I placed these pieces on the edges of my page....

Adding some ATC - Tiny Hearts which I've inked green...

Did the same treatment inking randomly with a dark brown
to this Cassie Flourish chipboard piece....

Also! peeking out underneath the flourish is some Ivy Clusters
which have been coated with some gesso....

AND......
"Don't let anyone ever dull your Sparkle"- title Started of with a coat of gesso.

I wanted to enhance the word Sparkle....  SO! I went with an ombre finish, adding pink
glitter across the bottom of the word & also adding the pink glitter randomly over
my layout......   I LOVE the end result!

Thanks for stopping by!
See you next month.....

July Layouts By Debbi Tehrani

"Sweet Smile"

I made this page for the More Than Words challenge, which asked us to use the
word "smile" as inspiration as well as a sketch. This adorable photo features my best
friend's daughter and her little girl, and they sure do have some sweet smiles!

The word "smile" came from the "Summertime" set, which has lots of different words. I colored it with two different teal stamp inks to get the right color to match the leaves in my floral paper and then coated it with clear embossing power to give it a glossy look. I couldn't resist using this cute little guy from the "Hedgehogs" pack on my page. I couldn't decide on a color for the hedgehog,
so I decided to leave him raw, but I added clear embossing powder to give him extra interest. The arrow, gessoed white, came from the "Assorted Arrows" sheet. I topped it with a wee heart from "ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars" and inked it pink.

I coated the "Bubble Clumps" with gesso and then painted it with Twinkling H2O's in the
Icicle color, which has flecks of glitter in it. I added patterned paper onto my frame form the "Polaroid Assortment Frames" to give it a woodgrain look. I popped a couple of raw, clear embossed hearts from the "ATC Tiny Hearts and Stars" to match my hedgehog onto the frame.

I just love 2Crafty's Circle Words, and I used the word "sweet" from "Word Circles Set 1" as part
of my title. I used the Icicle Twinkling H2O's on the circle part and the same ink and clear embossing powder I used for the "Smile." I added a heart from "ATC Tiny Hearts and Stars."

"You Are Simply the Best"

A girl at my school won a safety patrol award and her teacher asked me to make
 a scrapbook page for her.

The trophy came from the "Motocross" 6 x 6 set and was perfect for holding part of my title
(the word "you" came from "Card Word Set 2") and also conveying what the layout was about.
I used gold Zing embossing powder to give it sparkle and shine. I embossed the
"Simply the Best" title with two different colors.

The "Chevron Bits" were embossed with the same Sapphire PEARLustre embossing powder
I used on the title. I used the same gold Zing embossing powder on the "ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars" as I did on the title. I found a larger star from the "Stars" set to tuck into the "Medium Filmstrip." The "Inspire" word came from the "ATC Words 1" set. I painted a "Circle Revolution" white to frame the photo the main photo.

Once you take the frames out of the sheet of "Polaroid Assortment Frames," you will have leftover chipboard that, when cut, form more frames. I used that to frame the above photo, I painted that white. There's a bag behind this cluster that holds more photos from the event. Finally, I used a date from the "2016's."
