Inspiration From Guest Designer Kim Price

Today I am dropping in to share a layout I created featuring some of my favourite
2Crafty chipboard pieces. I absolutely adore the gorgeous flourish designs, and on this
layout I've used one of the pieces from Flourish Adornment Set 4. I've simply added a
shabby white look with Picket Fence Distress Paint and tucked it between a couple of my layers.
You can see a closer look in the photograph below.

I'm also absolutely loving the large cog pieces from the Giant Gears set - they make such
an impact on a page. Here I have used two cogs and again I've coloured these
with Picket Fence Distress Paint for that shabby vintage look. Using round elements
on a layout instantly soften the look of a layout and here the cogs do this perfectly.

And lastly I've added my title "Forever" from the Forever Loopy Font pack, the finishing touch. This time I wanted to add just a little colour so I've used Weathered Wood Distress Paint, allowing the title to overlap my photograph.

Thank you so much for joining me today - sadly this is my final post with 2Crafty as Guest Designer. I've really enjoyed my time here and I've found creating with these amazing products to be just way too easy. I look forward to visiting often to be inspired by this amazing Design Team. xx

Treasure Forever
By Resident Guest Designer Kim Price

Hi everyone. Its my turn today to call in and share some 2Crafty inspiration with everyone.
I have been using some of the brand new chipboard releases in my creation.
I absolutely love the new Flourish Adornment Set and this really did set the theme
for the rest of my layout.

It spoke to me - go shabby, use lots of girlie lovelies - the colours, the flowers and of course lots of shabby white chipboard pieces - Giant Gears, Mixed Buttons and an adorable little
title for that finishing touch from the Friendship Mini Word Pack.

All of my flowers & leaves  are from Green Tara.

Altering the chipboard couldn't be easier - I simply gave all my pieces a coat
of gesso and added a touch of primrose watercolour to one of the
Giant Gear pieces and my title for a little extra yumminess.
Thank you for calling in to visit, I hope you are inspired to
 create something shabby too.

"Dream"
by Resident Guest Designer Kim Price

Hello again. Today I wanted to share a baby themed layout I created
using some 2Crafty chipboard pieces with a non-traditional look.
Anyone who knows my style knows that I am all about colour
and at the moment I am reaching for my bright greens and yellows.
I am just so in love with this fresh look and feel and nothing
is safe from me - not even a sweet baby photograph of our eldest
 on her Christening day.

I have used the large Music Notes border as the main embellishment,
giving it a base coat of gesso and applying colour in lemon yellow ink
to coordinate with my background. I've also added one of the pieces
from the Gears pack which I have decorated in a similar style to the
Music Notes.  I added my title "Dream" from the
Friendship Mini Word Pack and simply painted it  with black mist
and a paintbrush.  I just love how easy it is to get a great result using
some simple but stunning chipboard pieces!

Flower embellishments are from Green Tara.

Thank you for calling in to see what I've been up to with my
2Crafty chipboard, I hope my baby layout inspires you
to create one of your own.
