"His Forever Smile"
Layout
With Amy Voorthuis

Goodmorning creative friends,
Today I share a layout with a picture of a wonderful three year old boy named "Phoenix McKay" who tragically lost his life on september 14th. He was my cousin Jaime & Weston {her husband} their little boy and he sadly got hit by a car. For me making this layout is a way to cope with the grief I feel, but also for them to celebrate his amazing short life.

The phrase "His Smile" I altered with some paper I used and then cut it out along the lines after that I added some brown wax on the outlines. The word "Forever" is placed on top of that phrase and was treated with two layers of white embossing powder. I did the same with the loopy heart swirl but behind the open hearts I also placed some paper form the collection I used.

For the funky hearts swirls I spray painted them, after I treated all my chippies I used today with white gesso. I also did that with the rest of my chippies only in different colors The only pieces that I left raw is the circle arrow around the word "boy"! The big yellow flowers are handmade with fabric.

Hope you all liked although it was a sad one my post thank you so much for stopping by, I will be back with another project hope to see you back then....

"His Smile"
Layout By Marie Sabatier

I am very happy to see you again for this August.

I am lucky to be able to present a third layout to you!

Fall colors with this beautiful "Tribal Arrows" chipboard.
And photos of my grandson from early summer.

"His Smile"

The 2Crafty chipboards used:

- His Smile
- Tribal Arrows Large
-Interlocking Stick Panel

As usual this time, I did not use white gesso!

To embellish the "Tribal Arrows" chipbard I applied Finnabair waxes of different shades,
"Bronze Age" "Lucky Emerald" and "Red Amber"
until I got the effect I wanted.

The title was embellished with Lindy's Gang "Sunset Yellow Orange"
embossing powder and then placed on my arrow I think it stands out very well.

The chipboard being large, I placed it in such a way as to highlight my photos,
I added cardboard below the arrow to add relief.

I love the details of this arrow.

I have arranged the "Interlocking Stick Panel" chipboards in such a way that
I can use them as a support and that way they look amazing.

This time it's over for the month of August.

Have a good summer!

Don't forget your creative soul.

"His Smile"
By Marie Claude Rodier

Hello lovelies!

While some are enjoying warmer days, in Canada, winter is in full season.
The kids are enjoying their playtime outside building snowmen and snow castles.

2Crafty store has a lot of winter-theme chipboards to play with.
I have used plenty on my latest layout.

 "His Smile"

"His Smile" title was embossed with mint powder, covered with one dry coat
of white gesso and then with one uneven coat of peacock wax.

"Flourish Adornment Set 6" and "Arial Spray" were embossed in white and partially
covered with peacock and silver waxes.

"St. Nicks and Stellar Snowflakes" were all coated with white gesso, then covered
with a mix of mint, peacock and old denim waxes.
Final touches of silver wax and dry brush white gesso we're also applied to them all.

Flourish Adornment Set 6

Until next time, be happy and be creative!

'His Smile' layout
by Rachael Funnell

Hello 2 Crafty fans!
Rach with you today sharing my newest creation,
a layout featuring my handsome teenager son
& some great 2 Crafty Chipboard pieces...

2 Crafty Chipboard:

Aztec arrow
His Smile - 1 of the new pieces for 2 Crafty August release
ATC - Tiny arrows
Light bulbs
Small Steampunk gears

Then layout came together relatively quickly
I started with a mixed media background....
by adding a coat of clear gesso, lots of stamping & a little colour..

Next I added some paper layers & my photo..
Then it was onto the chipboard pieces & sticking with the colour scheme!
I heat embossed all chipboard pieces with either teal, black or dark blue.....

Wanting a more rugged/uneven finish to the
Steampunk corner, I decide to first pull away a thin layer of chipboard
from only some parts of the corner before embossing ...

For my title His Smile is one of 2 Crafty August release
I first given it a 2 coats of gesso,
before heat embossing bottom half of the word Smile...

I am really happy with how my page has turned out!!!

Thanks for stopping by
Hopefully I have inpsired you in some way today!
Until next time!
