Pure Happiness by Tania Ridgwell

 Hi there!
Tania popping in to share a bonus DT project for April.  I have created another Layout.

"Pure Happiness"

2 Crafty Chipboard Used:

*Pure Happiness Title
*4.5" Flourish Doily
*Dainty Foliage Stems
*Iron Fence

I have used the gorgeous Uniquely Creative 'Paperbark Blooms' Collection to create the base for my Layout.

I first gave all the chippie pieces a couple of coats of gesso.  Once dry I sprayed the Pure Happiness Title, Dainty Foliage Stems and Iron Fence chippies with a mixture of Heidi Swapp Gold & Blush Color Shine Sprays.  The Flourish Doily chippie I kept the is with the white gesso.

To construct my layout I added lots of distressed paper layers and then added the Iron Fence chippie across the page.  I then added my photo and tucked in lots of coordinating Creative Cuts around my photo.  I cut the Flourish Doily chippie in half and tucked one half at the top left of my photo and the other half I place under the bottom of my photo.  I tucked the Dainty Foliage Stem chippies in amongst the creative cuts and finished off my page by adding the Pure Happiness Title chippie.

That's all from me today, I hope I have inspired you all with my Layout.
Until next time thanks so much for stopping by.

"memories"
Layout and video by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

I’m always so happy to share a new project with you!
Today I’m sharing a brand new scrapbook layout, and I also created a video tutorial to
 show you the full process.
This page features beautiful chipboards, especially the “pointed-doily-frames”, which I find
incredibly romantic and perfect to highlight newborn photos.

The pictures are recent and show my grandson Milan, just a few days after his birth, with his mom.

"memories"

I made a video tutorial that you can watch HERE.

The chipboard used:

As always, I start by applying a layer of white gesso to my background. This helps prepare
the surface and gives a softer finish once the inks are added.
To embellish my chipboards, I used Distress Oxide inks, applying them in light layers to
keep a natural and vintage look.

For the “pointed-doily-frames”, I started with Antique Linen as a base color over the entire frame.
Then I added Frayed Burlap on both the inside and outside edges to create depth and bring out the details.

Finally, I added a few touches of Vintage Photo in some areas, mainly in the raised parts and small details, to add contrast while keeping a soft romantic finish.

For the “dainty-foliage” chipboards, I also used Distress Oxides, keeping the colors light and delicate: Antique Linenfirst, then small touches of Victorian Velvet and Rustic Wilderness to create subtle tones that match the paper collection beautifully.

When it came to the design, I first positioned my photos to create a balanced composition.
I used three frames to build a triangle visual design:
the main photo in the large frame at the top as the focal point,
a smaller frame at the bottom left,
and a larger frame at the bottom right.
This arrangement helps guide the eye across the entire page.

To add dimension, I glued some elements flat and raised others with 3D foam tape, creating layers and depth. I tucked the foliage and paper embellishments underneath the main frame, mostly on the left side, to fill the space while keeping the layout light and airy.

The word “memories” was inked the same way as the frames, using the same colors to keep everything cohesive. I love how beautiful it looks and how perfectly it highlights the emotion of this layout. I placed it in a way that connects the top frame to the bottom frames, reinforcing the overall structure of the page. To finish, I added a few small details like butterflies and shiny accents to bring a soft final touch.

This layout is created with the gorgeous 49 and Market – “Nostalgic Memories” paper
collection, which I absolutely love for its vintage feel and soft colors.

If you’d like to see how this layout was created, I invite you to watch the video tutorial.

Thank you so much for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy the project!

'Dream Chaser'
with Lisa Amiet

 Hello 2Crafty fans!

It's Lisa here today to share some
 scrappy inspiration with you.

I have created this layout featuring my daughter on a recent trip to Japan.

"DREAM CHASER"

2Crafty products used:

'ATC Georgian Frame'
'Foliage Set 15'
'Dainty Foliage Stems'
'Mini Flourish Bits'

For this layout, I used some of the gorgeous
'Foliage Set 15' pieces.
I have tucked two of the small ones
under my large green flower.

I also used one of the larger ones under my yellow flower.
I left my chipboard raw for this layout,
I think it really goes with the tone of my papers.

I also used one of the 'ATC Georgian Frames',
to which I have adhered a sentiment.

I then tucked one of the 'Dainty Foliage Stems'
in between layers of my papers.

To finish, I used one of the 'Mini Flourish Bits'
into the floral and foliage piece from my papers.
I really like the wispy effect of this piece.

I am very happy with how this layout turned out,
and I hope that you like it too and that it inspires you to get crafty today.

Until next time,

Lisa
