"Cherished Family Memories"
Layout By Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

I present to you my first inspiration of this month of August.
The warmth of the summer inspired me to create a dynamic and colorful layout.

With a family photo taken this year for my son and daughter-in-law’s birthday.

"Cherished Family Memories"

The 2Crafty Chipboard Used:

- Word "Cherished Family Memories"
- 6 Inch Mandala N°5
- Sharon's-Butterflies

As always a layer of white gesso on each chipboard.

The background of my paper being essentially pink it was necessary to find a color
in harmony to embellish the chipboards.
I hesitated a lot, but I dared the yellow color.

I cut the "Mandala" chipboard before putting it under my photo like a beautiful sun.

I embellished each panel with Lindy’s Gang "Sunset Yellow Orange" embossing powder,
I had to apply several layers to get a strong yellow.

On the butterflies I added a few touches of black ink as well as a darker yellow.

I have arranged my layout according to the title, it is flashy and deserves to be in plain sight.

The rose being still very predominant I added some yellow embellishments.

Now I’m done, I hope you won’t feel any pain in your eyes
and that my choice of chipboard will inspire you!

Thank you very much and see you soon.

Cherished Family Memories
A Sweet Family Moment
Layout by Jenny J.

  Hello 2Crafty fans!

Today I'm back with a soft pink layout to share with you.

I have used 2 different papers as my background and
applied heavy gesso through my stencil with a spatula.

Above, you will see "Iron gates" chippie covered with black gesso and some rose gold wax.
Both pieces are layered under my picture.

In the middle of my focal point, you can see my title.
"Cherished family memories" is painted with white gesso
and sprinkled with a baby pink sparkling embossing powder.

I've had some other embellishements as fussy cuts images and flowers.
Under those, I've putted the lovely "Mini branches" chipboard pieces.
Did I ever say that those are my favorites? 😉
Both of them are just heat embossed with a dark green powder.

As always, some white gesso drops are added at the end of my creative process.

Hope you like it!

Don't forget to stay safe!

Thanks for stopping by xx

"Cherished Family Memories"
By Sabrina Turpin

Hello 2Crafty friends!

I hope you're having a good time!
On our side, the long winter here in Quebec is finally showing signs that it might not
last forever as the temperatures start rising above the freezing point every day
(and hopefully we won't have winter #2 in March as sometimes happen).
This brings us a nice boost of happiness, leaving the "winter blues" feeling behind.

The layout I'm revealing today reflects that mood, with a warmer feeling,
perfect for the spring that's starting for us!

"Cherished Family Memories"

For the "Frame Handrawn Hearts", I applied one coat of red metallic paint.

On the "Aztec Flower Set 1", at the bottom left, I dabbed a red embossing ink
then applied a gold wax on top roughly, with my hands.

On the "Heart and Circle Arrow Set", I've applied honey coloured ink.

Behind the picture frame, on the "Checkerboard Panel", I used a teal embossing powder.
For the title, "Cherished Family Hearts", I used a black embossing powder with a sandy finish.

I've used the following 2Crafty chipboards in this layout:

Cherished [w00568]
Frame Handrawn Hearts [fr0082]
Checkerboard Panel [660045]
Aztec Flower Set 1 [m00810]
Heart and Circle Arrow Set [m00811]

That's all for me today!
I hope you enjoyed this and it gave you some inspiration to go create something amazing!
I'll be back in a few weeks with some more inspiration to share with you guys.

See you soon!
