August Inspiration Canvas
"Super Hero"
by Marie Sabatier

For my creation today I chose to make a painting.

This little hero is a little man that I mind, too cute!

I left a color photo that I modified in black and white to have only the sign
 of superman in color.

I used a canvas of 46 X 26.6 centimeters

I applied a coat of white gesso and a black acrylic paint with a spatula.

I worked the background with:
- a stencil and structural mortar that I tinted with blue ink
- stamped with an embossing pad to emboss in warm white
- added a perforated adhesive tape

The chipboards are all coated with embossing powder, choosing the
colors that are associated with Superman, red, yellow and blue.

Love the shiny finish the embossing powder gives the chipboard.

To finish off I've added Art Stones, adding another texture to the canvas.

The 2Crafty Chipboard used :

- My lil' Super Hero
- Everyday Moments
- Mini Squiggly bits
- Light bulbs
- Wordcircles
- ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars

Thank you very much for your visit

See you soon !

Chipboard in Project Life - Annelie

Hello from a rainy and miserable New Zealand. Hope the sun is shining on YOU wherever YOU are!!

Are you doing Project Life this year? It seems to be very popular, and after thinking about it the last couple of years, I decided to do it this year.

At first, I found it hard to not embellish as much as I would on a normal scrapbooking page, but now - a few weeks into it - I'm feeling OK.

The VERY VERY cool thing with 2Crafty chipboard is that they are so thin, and works really well in my PL album, without making it too bulky. So this week, I am showing you how I included two new 2Crafty pieces in a weekly spread.

On the left side I have used the Captured Memories piece. I ran it through an embossing folder on the Cuttlebug first, then I used Studio Calico white mist on it. Love the result!

Oh the right side I used the Everyday Moments

I did the same thing here, on the bottom circle - cuttlebug & spray. On the top piece, I used red Tim Holtz distress ink.

If you are using 2Crafty chipboard in your Project Life - please let me know so that I can have a look!!
