#CHERISH #LOVE Altered Frame by Tania Ridgwell

Hi there!
Tania popping in today to share the first of my DT projects for February.
I have altered a wooden frame that I had in my stash!

"#CHERISH #LOVE"

2 Crafty Products Used:

*Corner Arches
*Mini # Word Set 1
*Mini Title Stick Set 5
*Poppy's Ornate Frame

I have used the beautiful Mintay 'Mamarazzi' Collection to create the bases inside each
 section of the Frame.

I coloured the Poppy's Ornate Frame & Fantastic Day (from the Mini Title Stick Set 5) chippies using Aged Mahogany Distress Ink and then randomly dabbed on some Brush Leaf Interior Antique Gold Paint to them.   The Corner Arches & #LOVE and #CHERISH (from the Mini # Word Set 1) chippies
were coloured with Brush Leaf Interior Antique Gold Paint.

To decorate the frame I added layers of Frames from the 49 & Market Krafty Garden Stacked Frames under my photo.  I cut the Poppy's Ornate Frame chippie in half and tucked one half in under each end of my photo.  Added a Corner Arch and Title chippie to each side of the frame.  I then embellished the frame with lots of beautiful blooms and finished it of by tucking in the Fantastic Day chippie along the top of my photo.

Thats' all from me today, I hope I have inspired you all with my altered Frame.  Until next time thanks so much for stopping by.

'Together' by Elisa Ablett - September Inspiration

Hi Crafters,

Elisa here from the design team with my latest inspiration for September,
a bright and colourful mixed media layout.

"Together"

For this layout I used a gorgeous photo of my niece and great niece which I love.

I wanted to create a lovely watercolour background and try something new with my chippie.

I used the following 2Crafty chipboard -

Sharon's Butterflies set
Corner Arches
Chipboard Tags
Together title - Loopy Font

Let's take a closer look at the chipboard pieces -

I love the set of Sharon's butterflies; they are so versatile and I have used them on many projects.

On this layout I heat embossed a heavy white embossing powder onto my chipboard butterfly
and also onto the title - Together (in the below photo).
It came out perfectly, they almost look like a raised enamel.

For the Corner Arch, I decided to give it a light coat with gesso first and then let dry.

Once it was dry, I lightly tapped and swiped my Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Inkpad
over the top and spritzed it with water and let dry. The end result was a lovely mottled
distressed look showing patches of white here and there.

The chipboard tag I absolutely love! I wanted to try a new technique on the tag
so I lightly glued some patterned tissue paper over the top of the tag,
then I watered down some gesso and added a white wash over the top, once
dry I sanded the edges and lightly over the top of the tag. It came out
perfect as a background feature which matches the tissue paper I glued to the background.

That's it from me today, I hope you have been inspired to try some of my techniques
on your Chipboard pieces. Make sure you leave me some love in the comments and if you
want to follow my work - head to my blog or instagram to follow along ...

Hugs

October Project
By Priscilla Lim

Hello 2Crafty fans,
It's my turn to share some inspiration today.
Here's the layout with striking colors.

These are the 2Crafty supplies used:
The chipboards were either coated with Black Gesso or just left raw.
Either way, they look gorgeous!! :)

Ready for some close up shots?

The brick panel which is left raw is piled between layers of frames.

These hearts were left raw too. Signifies pure love as well.

This gorgeous title has been given 2 coats of black gesso.
Don't you just love the cursive fonts? :)

The Corner Arch in this close up has been given two coats of black gesso as well.
The butterfly, actually all the butterflies were fussy cut from a pattern paper and
given a coat of crackle accent. I think this butterfly is such a great compliment to the arch.

I LOVE the nature feel of the whole page and I hope you like what I have shared today.

Do remember to visit us often for more inspirations.

Happy Crafting!
XOXO

October inspiration by Marianne Johansson

"Getaway"

Hello peeps!

Today I have to fun layouts to show you.
Totally different regarding colors, but still, kinda "my style"

The first one is from a crop I went to last year (in fact, it's the same crop we are going to now this weekend).
My friend Vibeke and myself drove for several hours, stayed at a hotel and had lots of fun.

Lots going on here in the layout as you see.
I loved the Messy Square Frames and used several of them as layers on top and under the photo.

I used ink pad randomly on the chippies, here you see "getaway", on of the words from the Mini Travel World set 2

Details of the frame beneath the photo and paperlayers

I love all kind of chicken wires and so happy to use these from 2Crafty.
Usually I cut them in pieces as you see here

To match the chicken wire chippie I used a chicken wire stamp as well

My background is made with watercolor, stencils and stamps

2Crafty Chipboards used:
Chicken wire panel
Messy Square Frames
Mini travel world set 2
ATC words 1
Adornment set 1

And so for the next layout, totally different regarding colors as I said:

"Time of my life"

Another photo from the "surprise" trip I gave to my youngest daughter going to a concert with her favorite band 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS)

On this layout I used the chippies natural, only with a little bit of color by an ink pad

I cut the Sammi's swirl in several pieces

I guess you can say that if you have some chippies, you don't need much other embellishments. And that I have showed you on this layout

I used the Corner Arhces as a "frame" on my photo

And this title is so perfect for my layout and the history behind it.
It really was Sarah's time of her life.
She even said to me after the concert (she is 14 years old): "mom, now I can die happy ;) "

Didn't spill any part of the chippies, so here is a leftover piece from one of the Corner Arches

2Crafty Chipboards used:

Time of my life
Corner Arches
Sammi's swirl

Hope you liked my layouts and got some inspiratons how to use chipboards in different ways
