"Priceless Memory" Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

For my second layout in September, I chose a beautiful and tender photo of my new granddaughter Lyana with her mother. This is the first layout I have created with a photo of Lyana, but it certainly will not be the last!

To complement this precious memory, I selected the Priceless Memory, Corner Swirly Heart Set, and Foliage Set 18 chipboards. The large heart perfectly represents the bond between mother and daughter. The foliage blends naturally into the floral design of my layout, and the title was an obvious choice for this very special moment.

I started by covering all the chipboard pieces with a thin coat of white gesso before adding the colors.

I placed the large decorative heart from the Corner Swirly Heart Set beneath the photo, with one of its beautiful swirls extending under the embellishment cluster on the left. I colored the heart with Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide, then highlighted its edges with Vintage Photo to add more depth.

The heart is an important part of my composition and creates a lovely flowing movement beneath the photo. I applied the colors lightly to preserve all its delicate details, then added a few white splatters to help it blend with the rest of the layout.

I arranged the pieces from the "Foliage Set 18" around the photo and among the flowers. I used Bundled Sage Distress Oxide, along with highly diluted Arctic Blitz ink from 49 and Market, to create soft shades of green and blue that coordinate beautifully with the papers.

To finish, I colored the "Priceless Memory" title with Cappuccino ink from 49 and Market and added a few touches of Vintage Photo Distress Oxide. I kept the coloring even across the entire title so that it would blend harmoniously into the composition.

I really enjoyed combining these delicate chipboard pieces with the soft, floral atmosphere of this layout.

Priceless Memory by Tania Ridgwell

Tania joining you today to share the last of my DT projects for August. 
  I have created a layout for my second share.

2 Crafty Chipboard Used:

*Corner Whispy Vines

*Mini Title Stick Set 5

*Priceless Memory Title

*Frame Messy Squares 6"

I have used the gorgeous 49 & Market 'Nature's Haven' Collection to create the base for my layout.  

I first gave all my chippie pieces a couple of coats of gesso.  Once dry I mixed some Pink Heidi Swapp Color Shine with some more gesso and painted it onto the Messy Square chippie.  I did the same with the Corner Whispy Vine chippies but instead used Citron Heidi Swapp Color Shine to colour them.  I also randomly added a little Pink/gesso mix to the the Corner Whispy Vine Chippies.  For the Priceless Memory Title chippie I added the Pink/gesso mix to it and once dry I added another coat of gesso over top.

I added the Messy Square Frame chippie to my photo attaching it on an angle and then added it to my base page.  I added a Corner Whispy Vine chippie to each side of my photo.  Embellished around my photo with lots of paper blooms and finished off my layout by adding the Priceless Memory Title chippie and a couple of smaller chippie Titles from the Mini Title Stick Set 5.

I am delighted to present my second inspiration of this January.

A layout with bright colors!

"Priceless Memory"

The 2Craftychipboard used:

- Priceless Memory Title

- Circle Revolutions Frames

- Leafy Shrub Set 2

I apply a layer of white gesso on each chipboard.

I start my layout with the chipboard "Circle Revolutions Frames" that I simply embellish with a layer of white acrylic paint, then I place it in the center. My arrangement will be organized around him.

To embellish the chipboards 'Leafy Shrub', I use and combine inks from the brand Lindy’s Gang in different shades of green. To achieve a mixed effect I spray water. 

They are very well highlighted in my beautification cluster.

The title "Priceless Memory" is simply inked with Oxide Distress ink. 

I dissociated the title so that I could put one part on my photo and another just below.

I hope you like this layout.

As with most of my layouts I love to add the date and with this layout

I have added the year 2016, I started with applying a coat of gesso then

Inking over the gesso with a mustard yellow....

Next Up I have used the 2nd biggest frame from the 12x12 Clock Face Frame pk

You see underneath my cherished photo..Inking this Clock frame with orange..

And lastly for my Title & biggest Clock Face frame from the Clock Face Disc pk

I have inked both of these chipboard pieces with the same blue..

Priceless Memory Altered Wooden Circle Plaque by Tania Ridgwell

Tania with you today popping in to share the first of my DT projects for June.

  I have altered a Wooden Circle Plaque.

*Photo Adornment - Decorative Rod Set 1

I have used the gorgeous Paper Rose Dear Isabella Collection to create this project. 
 Once I chose the paper for the background of my circle plaque I set about decorating.

I painted the Photo Adornment - Flourish Set 4, Photo Adornment - Decorative Rod Set 1 and Priceless Memory Title with Pink Thistle Opal Polish. I also sponged on a little bit of Gold Paint on the chippie Title.  The Foliage Set 6 chippies were painted with Monte Arte Gold Paint.

I added my photo first and then set about decorating around it.  I added lots of beautiful blooms around the photo.  I cut the Decorative Rods in half and tucked a half under the top and bottom of the photo to the left side.  The other two halves I put alongside the left and bottom of my photo. I tucked a flourish into the flowers at the top and at the bottom of the circle plaque.  

I randomly tucked the foliage chippies into the flowers around the photo.  I then added the Priceless Memory chippie Title to the right side of my photo.  To finish of my project I lightly sponged on some gesso on the flowers and chippie pieces.
