"Oh Whata Feeling!" - by Nina

Hi All,

Nina here again, to share the 2Crafty love!

For the layout I have created today, I have used the Juilet's Frame.

I have painted the Juliets Frame with Red Acrylic Paint, and adhered it to the layout using dimensional magic.

Here is a close up of the chipboard ...

I want to remember - by Nina

Hi All,

Nina here today, to share the 2Crafty Love.

I have created this layout using the following 2Crafty Chipboard Pieces:

I have embossed the "I Want To Remember" title with an embossing folder and my Vagabond Machine.  I then used some olive chalk in to colour the chipboard.  I then faintly dabbed over the raised edges of the embossing, with some vintage photo distress ink.  Finally, I drew a border/outline around the edge of the title to make it "stand out" a bit better.

With the Birdcage, I coloured it by dabbing my vintage photo distress ink staight over the top.  And, I coloured the bird in with acrylic paint.

Here is a close up of the chipboard embellishments.

together - by Nina

Hi 2Crafty fans,  hope you are managing to get some crafting done on these cold winter days!

Today I would love to share with you my latest 2Crafty Creation.

As you probably are aware by now, my most favourite 2Crafty chipboard pieces are those that are very swirly and flourishy!!  When it comes to creating, I could be diagnosed with OCFSD (Obsessive Compulsive Flourishy Swirls Disorder!!).  Flourishes and Swirl designs appear on nearly all of my creations, and to be honest, it makes me creatively happy to add a whimisical touch to my projects!  As with any of my projects,  I don't feel that they are finished until some form of flourish or swirl takes centre stage!!  It is wonderful that Vanessa has a reputation for including such amazing chipboard designs in the 2Crafty range to suit my own personal creative fetishes!!

Now, onto the important details about my layout ....

I have used the following:
I have used "Ivy Glimmermist" to colour the chipboard pieces.  I postioned a photo behind the large Shirley's Frame, and cut the small Shirley's frame in half, and positioning it over the manilla tag to draw ones eye to the journalling.  I cut the Elsie's border in half, and postitioned it behind the top and bottom of the large Shirley's Frame, elongating the border.

To adhere the chipboard pieces to my project, I have used dimensional magic.

Here are some close up pic's of the finer details ...

Thanks for stopping by the 2Crafty blog.  I hope you have been inspired to add some whimical 2Crafty chipboard to your next project!!

So Happy Together LO - Nina

wow, April already!!  this year is certainly swiftly moving forward!!  it feels like it was just Christmas and yet here we are gearing up to celebrate Easter!

anyways, today I am back to share another project using 2Crafty chipboard.

I have used both the "Sybill's Name Plate" and the "Corner Emily" to add some 2Crafty WOW to my layout.

I added colour to the chipboard pieces using some Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Colour: Barn Door) by directly applying the ink pad directly to the chipboard suface, and continued dabbing colour from the ink pad until i was happy with the coverage and colour.
Next I heat set the colour added to the chipboard using my heat gun.  I then proceeded to cover the chipboard pieces with versamark ink, followed by a covering of clear embossing powder, which I then heat set also.

The end result looks awesome!!  Next time you are playing with some 2Crafty chipboard, have a go at embossing it!!

Till next time,
Smiles, Nina.

Just Be You - Nina

Hiya 2Crafty followers!  today it is my turn to share around the 2Crafty Love!!

The layout I have created today, is once again showcasing some of the NEW 2CRAFTY PRODUCTS!

I have used the "Just Be You" title and the "Twiggy Branch"

Both pieces were painted with acrylic paint.  The twiggy branch I have hung upside down from the top of my layout page.  To adhere the chipboard pieces to my layout, I have used dimensional magic.

This is quite a simple layout for me, and I really love how these particular 2Crafty chipboard pieces have complemented my simple design.

Now, your task today, should you choose to accept it, is to get busy creating with some of the awesome 2Crafty chipboard pieces - oh, and don't forget to share your creations too, just add a link to where your creations can be found to the comments section of this post.  I love to see the  creative  interpretations of others.

Keep smiling and creating!

Captured Memories - Nina

Hiya 2Crafty followers!
today i am sharing a layout i have created using some of the gorgeous new 2Crafty chipboard!

I absolutley LOVE the new chipboard phrases and titles .... yummo!! they make creating a layout or project lots more fun!

I have used the "captured memories" title for my layout along with one of the "fay's flourishes" which i have cut into 2 seperate pieces.  I love to cut up my chipboard pieces for 2 reasons ... firstly, you can get more out of your chipboard shape, and secondly, it totally alters the shape and therefore the outcome, yet still balances and intergrates with the theme and/or design, perfectly!

The "captured memories" title, has been painted with acrylic paint, both in pink and white.  The white portion has also been outlined with a sharpie marker, before a coat of dimensional magic.

The "fay's flourish" pieces were painted with teal acrylic paint and also coated with dimensional magic.

Happy creating!

Flower Girl - Nina

Hi 2Crafy follwers!  Today it is my turn again to share some 2Crafty goodness!

My choice of 2Crafty Chipboard for this particular layout was the Corine's Swirl.  I cut the Corine's Swirl into 2 pieces, by cutting off part of the bottom of the swirl.  This now gives me 2 seperate pieces that co-ordinate perfectly together, to use on my layout.

I covered the chipboard Corine's Swirls with 2 different colours of glimmermist and at close inspection, you can see the awesome effect this has had on the chipboard.  Love it!!

So, the next time you are creating, remember to cut up your chipboard pieces to get more out of them!

Smiles,
Nina
