July Inspiration - Two Layouts to Share
With Di Garling

"This Face Makes My Heart Smile"

Hi there friends, thanks for calling by.

Before we Start...
Please remember while your here be sure you have
become a blog follower & leave a blog comment to
be eligible to go in our monthly draw for a great chippie prize pack.

Today I have two layouts to share with you.
This first one I have kept very monochromatic with just a little silver for contrast.

I have based it on the current challenge over at 13arts.

2Crafty Chipboard used...
11" Tahnya's Border
Element Set #1
This Face- title
Tiny ATC Hearts & Stars

My first step was to coat all the chippies with a coat of gesso.

I have used the 11" Tahnya's Border vertically.

I have then painted it with some 13arts Ayeeda paint in Old Silver & while it was
wet, I sprinkled on some lovely fine glitter. Looks really sparkly in real life.

For my "title" & also the little "ATC Hearts" I gave them a coat of gesso & then
I simple painted them with some Ayeeda's acrylic paint & then followed that up
with a brush over with some water to wash it out slightly & make it a little uneven.

I have done a mixed media background.

Lastly I have treated a piece of the "Elements Set #1" the same as the
Tahnya's Border. I cut it in half so that I could run it down the side of my page.

 "Hello"

For my second layout I have I have used a couple of the
newly released chippie pieces.

  2Crafty Chipboard used..
6" Circle Lace Panel
Hello - title
Hummingbird

I have also based this on the current colour challenge over at Lindy's Stamp gang.
I don't get much free time to enter challenges these days, so this month I made time. :)

This is the new released "Hello - title", don't you just love this font?
After a coat of gesso I simply brushed on a little pink Lindy's spray
& diluted it with some water to create a watercolour effect. Sorry this
detail hasn't showed up in the photo !!

I adore this new "Hummingbird" chippie so much, I decided to leave it
raw so that all the fabulous details that are engraved into it, could show up.

Next up, I cut up the "6" Circle Lace Panel" into several pieces.

I gave the pieces a coat of gesso to basecoat it & then followed that up with
several different colours of Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays brushed on very randomly,
before brushing on a little water. Again, this creates a real watercolour effect.
.

Well thats all from me today.
I hope I have inspired you in some small way.
