Hello everyone! I hope my post finds you all well!
I'm really excited that it is my turn to share my latest layouts
I'm really excited that it is my turn to share my latest layouts
using 2Crafty's gorgeous chipboard!!
First up is my layout
First up is my layout
"A Tender Moment"...
I've gone for a pretty, delicate and shabby look for this one.
Let's look at the 2Crafty chipboard that I used in close-up...
Let's look at the 2Crafty chipboard that I used in close-up...
I've used the Felicity Flourish at the top left corner. This has been dry brushed with white acrylic heavy body paint and inked lightly with pink distress ink.
Now I couldn't possibly scrap a layout about my daughter's first deer encounter without using these gorgeous Bambis! Aren't they adorable?! The Bambi comes in a two pack and here I've used both, layering the smaller one over the top of the larger one using foam tape.
I've stippled gesso onto these and after a light ink with pink distress ink, I have threaded cute "Love" charms onto long wire stemmed roses and then I've wrapped these around their necks using the wire stalks... no need for adhesive for these!
What a stroke of luck that I found this cute deer image in my stash. And you can also see peeking there my final piece of 2Crafty chipboard...
I've used the Parisian Border underneath the photo frame and matte. I have used the same technique as the the above mentioned Felicity flourish. Isn't this border soooo delicate and lovely? :)
My next layout is called
"A Rose Tattoo 4 U 2"...
So this one is a little bit more like my "trademark" bright style... lol. :) This layout has been based on sketch #235 at Creative Scrappers.
So here I have once again used three different pieces of 2Crafty. First we have the Bella Flourish, which has been inked with distress ink and "blinged up" with some little FWAB adhesive pearls.
I have cut this almost-12" flourish in half and I haven't hid the fact on my layout for a change. I felt the exposed cut ends lent themselves really well to the whole rose tattoo theme.
I have also cut up a large size Damask and tucked the halves under either side of the photos. I have used the small size Damask (you get three in a pack) on the top left of the left photo too - this has been cut to create a pretty photo corner. This is really easy to do, actually. As my photo was already adhered to the layout, I simply grabbed a piece of paper and lined up the paper's corner to the angled Damask and then I trimmed the overhanging edges with my Cutter Bee scissors.
All the Damasks have been coloured using a black paint pen... love this technique - no drying required!
I love this photo of Lucy having her very first koala cuddle. She was so proud to hold him all by herself... he is a big boy!! :)
I've made my own "Cartoon Cutie" felt koala and I've put him up 2Crafty's Josh's Tree. I've cut the lower left branch and adhered it above the koala's head to not only give it a little height, but I didn't want to cover the "real" koala in the photo at all. :)
I've decorated all my chipboard easily with acrylic paint and then once dried, I've outlined and doodled on them with a Uniball Gel Impact pen. Love the striking look this technique gives!
I've also used a 2Crafty Sun on my layout. I've used the outer "rays" part and I've put a journalling spot underneath for some (you guessed it!) journalling.
I love those suns. I've used them quite a bit, hey. They rock!
I've used four Grass Clumps here; they are so fun to layer and cut up... plus a grass clump was just perfect for the base of the tree... so it's not "floating".
Well that's all from me for now! I hope you have enjoyed viewing my latest creations using 2Crafty chipboard as much as I did creating them!!
Have an awesome week and thanks for all your wonderful comments, btw!
