"You Colour My World" Layout with Amy Voorthuis

Good morning lovely 2Crafty friends.
How wonderful of you all to stop by the 2Crafty blog, this is my second layout for the month of August. I wanted to use these papers for a while now but I forgot I had the perfect picture for it. Abbey had the perfect dress on in this picture that was made on one of our vacations to Greece.

 You Colour My World: 

Amazing 2Crafty Chipboard pieces used:

All the chipboard pieces but the phrase "You Colour My World" are altered with black gesso. Then I used two matt waxes patina green & old white. I really love this colour combination teal & yellow it makes me happy. 

The phrase "You Colour My World" is altered with white gesso and some of my aqua/ alcohol twin markers. I just loved making this layout very much hope I inspired you to take out your 2Crafty Chipboard pieces.

"My Sunshine August 2023" with Amy Voorthuis

Goodmorning lovely 2Crafty friends, 

I am so happy you are visiting this blog today for this post I made a layout again. 
For this layout I have used tons of amazing chippies and a picture of Abbey on the beach in Greece August 2023. For this layout I have used the pretty new beach paper collection called {the beach is calling} by the other company I design for. I really enjoy working with all the pretty chipboard pieces by 2Crafty Chipboard. 
 I had so much fun creating this layout that I am going to make another one hahaha enjoy my post...

You know what's amazing, you can order directly from the

All the chipboard pieces are treated with white gesso on the seashells I used some matte acrylic paint and on the edges I added some brown wax to mimic the rocks in the picture. I couldn't help myself while I was creating this layout I kept on adding more and more chippies. I cut out the word "Sunshine" out of the beautiful phrase "Your Smile is Like Sunshine Title" but firstly I wanted to use the whole phrase but it became to cluttered on my work so I left the rest out. 

On the photo adornments & reeds I added some white crackle paste and later I added some spray paint and matte acrylic paints to make them look a little weathered. The word sunshine was coloured in three different colors white, light blue and dark blue to match my layout. 

The seahorse I coloured in three different colors I used some waxes & several acrylic paints. On the backgound of my layout I added some coloured crackle paint which I coloured with magicals powders. I also altered the flowers myself to fit my layout and in the end I added some white spray paint, art stones & some antique jewels.

"Today was Just Adorable " by Amy Voorthuis

Hi there lovely 2Crafty fans,
It's a lovely day to visit the blog, for today I have another layout to share with you. Lately I really love to use a little mixed media on my layouts like combining the very romantic stuff with a darker twist to it. This time I made all the beautiful chipboard pieces black which I later on painted to my likes. For this layout I used a picture of both our kids {Kevin & Abbey} Kevin was reading a book and I thought it was so sweet that I took a picture.

All the pretty chipboard are treated with a layer of black gesso. Then I used several waxes and a dabber brush to make it look like real metal. In the end I added some color with acrylic paints to match my layout 

For my layout I have used some Maja Design papers and a new mould to frame my sweet picture with. For the background I have used a stencil and some sprays.

"Life's Journey" By Ro Miqueletto

Hello 2Crafty friends!

Today sharing a layout to inspire you in these difficult days.

"Life's Journey"

 I used chipboard panels with texture designs and a very inspiring title.

Panel chipboard is versatile and you can decorate various spaces of the layout.

I painted with white acrylic plaster.

 I sprayed with green Reagent Patina and let it dry.

 I used Pearls in gold and copper.

I fussy cut some bouquet of flowers from some pattern paper, adding a contrast to the chipboard.

I cut and decorated the angel wings.

A beautiful and inspiring title to decorate the layout.

I painted the title with white acrylic gesso.

I watered it with Alcohol Ink Rust, leaving small stains.

I spent rust Pearls.
