August layouts by Jaya Raghuvanshi

Hello Everyone!
This is Jaya here with you all today .
Today I want to share with you all some layouts I recently made using some
gorgeous chippies from 2Crafty.
Have a look.

"Always Follow Your Dreams"

My first layout is this really ethereal page with blues, teals and turquoise.  I really wanted
to make something with the gorgeous Corine's swirl chippies that I saw on the
2Crafty website for so long and finally came up with this page.

I heat embossed my large swirl  chippie in greens and blues and the small ones in white
embossing powder. I also used a hint of a gold here and there.

These chippies are so so gorgeous ..its beyond words! I love how easily I could mimic the peacock look I wanted to. I am short of words on how much detail these chippies add to the page.
These are a must buy for all scrapbookers!

The sentiment chippie has been heat embossed in white embossing powder. I gave
3 layers of embossing to give it that really thick look. Looks gorgeous!

The mini flourish bits have been heat embossed with white embossing powder and a hint
of gold embossing powder as well.

Here is my next layout-

"Life's Moments"

This layout has some wonderful background chippies. It adds so much depth and detail
to the whole page. I heat embossed the 6x6 inch chipboard in consecutive layers and
different colours and cut it out to accent my page.

The title has been heat embossed in sea foam white embossing powder and then I sprinkled
some gold embossing powder from top while it was still hot and heat embossed it as well.
It looks really gorgeous in real life!

The leaves have also been heat embossed. I added some black versamark ink on top and then embossed with clear embossing powder. Next while it was still hot I added some shabby white embossing enamel and heat embossed it again. It gave the chippie that lovely marbled look.

A Couple of Layouts & a Canvas from Helen Tilbury

Follow Your Dreams

Hi there everyone!  HELEN here today with a couple of layouts to share.

Always Follow Your Dreams (unit of 3)

I just LOVE 2Crafty's selection of titles so I used this lovely one above.

I also used Sharon's Butterflies randomly around the layout.

For the title I simply inked it with black Archival ink.  For the butterflies
I inked them with red Archival ink, without gessoing anything first,
so the colour soaked in to more of a maroon colour.

I added some white sponging onto the butterflies for a lighter feel.

I cut one of the butterflies in half & tucked each half
of it under my layers for some added dimension.

Often I use chipboard pieces to "pin down" other elements
beneath them, in this case flower petals & gauze.

The BEST thing about CHIPBOARD is that you can stockpile
it & the COLOUR & FINISH will never go out of fashion!
Because  you can customize it to match your current page.

I used some confetti bling to indicate the route of the
butterflies & I think they add a nice sparkly touch too!

-----------------------------------------

Next up I have another layout to share with you!

Dream Big

Again I used another gorgeous 2Crafty Chipboard title for this page.
These titles honestly "make" the page in my opinion!

Dream Big Title (unit of 3)

I used Aladine inks on my title.  They are awesome little inks
that can be painted on using a fine paintbrush & they are ultra-sparkly!

I used up the last Sharon's Butterfly from the pack above - that I used on the previous
layout. I painted it with Tulip IZINKS from Aladine then sponged lightly with white acrylic.

Again I used the chipboard to anchor down some metallic
thread that I looped around underneath my layout.

I used the Summer Leafy Stems as well as the Heidi's Vines as a base for
my flowers, leaves & bling, which I used to decorate the centre of the stamens.

I treated the foliage chipboards with Color Bloom Sprays from Prima,
a light sponging of white acrylic paint & a little Izinks Gold from Aladine.

Before placing & adhering my chipboard vines I used them as a mask around where
I planned to position my photo -  it creates a nice effect with no other stencil required!

These leafy chipboard pieces are a MUST for your chippie stash if you ask me -
they are such a good basic & can be dressed up in such fun ways using your flower stash!

I hope I have inspired you to use your chipboard as a stencil next time
you create with it & also to dress it up with flowers, leaves & bling!

Heidi's Vines (unit of 3)

----------------------------------

Lastly I am sharing a canvas I made recently for 7 Dots Studio.

I used just one tiny leaf stem on this canvas, but first I cut it into 2 pieces!

To treat the chipboard I pushed it face first into my black archival ink pad,
which gave it a granite/black mottled effect, then I sprayed the piece with Lime
Wedge Prima Color Bloom Spray & dried it off.  This gave it a subtle shimmer!

For the flowers close by I stamped them with a script stamp, which ties in with
the black mottled effect on the leaves.  This gives a more grunge look
whereas a solid black look is more slick & graphic.

Always Follow Your Dream ...
By Stephanie Papin

Hello everyone, Stéphanie here with you !
Today I am very thrilled  to share with you  my first  DT project for
2 Crafty Chipboard.  I hope you will enjoy it !

  "Always Follow Your Dreams"

There are so many beautiful chipboard pieces in the 2Crafty range.  My first challenge
was to choose which beautiful pieces I would choose for my first layout!

In fact, for this layout, I decided to work in the height of my page,
so I purposely chose a title that occupied a lot of space so that my chipboard would
play an important role in the layout.
I also wanted to stick a small arabesques on the other side of my layout
it connects my set, and I placed them  so that all my embellishments
are placed in a diagonal line.

Leafy Shrub Set 2 (unit of 3)[m00494]
Mini Swirls 1 (units of 3)[atc037]
Always Follow Your Dreams (unit of 3)

On my title, I like to bring color so I moistened my chipboard with water in
some places with a brush. Before it was dry, I applied a little white liquid ink,
but only where I put the water. This way my white ink blends well
and doesn't have sharp edges, but instead it all just blends beautifully.
I find it interesting to wet our chipboard with inks or paints as
some really beautiful results can be obtained.

I chose to cut out a part of my leaves, so that  I got a straight edge on
my chipboard to place along the side of my page .

Above you will see I have used 2 of the ATC Swirls, to continue the leafy feel,
using them close to my flowers.

Here is a close up of how the water and paint blended.

I hope you have enjoyed this page, & I look forward to seeing you back here again
next month for a new project !
