Welcome to the blog today, Charmane here to share a layout created in
muted tones to remember Fathers Day last year. Foster puppies and our
girls all in for a photo with my hubby along with our son.
Using the Chained Hearts adds the feeling of love in a masculine way
to evoke the feelings on this special day. Mixing 49 and Market Laser
Cuts with 2Crafty Chipboard creates lots of layered details.

Title- Love this Life
Photo Adornment Flourish set 4
Mini Number Panels
I love laying an open frame over my photos to make them a focus of
the layout. The Chained Hearts were painted with Blue and Tan
Watercolours and then a little Old Silver wax was rubbed over
randomly. This allowed them to blend with my muted tones.
Foliage sets by 2Crafty are so versatile and I love how they can be made to
blend with my composition. Painting with one colour randomly and then
adding a second metallic silver Watercolour, allowing some Gesso to peek
through gives a soft finish. A little water helps blend so you don't have harsh
lines. Perfect tucked with flowers.
I wanted to add some finishing detail but nothing too feminine so the
Adornment Flourish pieces were enough for a little spiral attribute. They
were given the same treatment as the Foliage set above. In the top corner
of the above photo is a Mini Number Panel reflecting the number of
subjects in the photo.
What a beautiful title to reflect my hubby being a wonderful Dad and
Foster Dad to three gorgeous puppies on Fathers Day. After
Watercolouring it I sponged a little Gesso over the first words to
highlight them. I used a slightly darker Blue on Life so it would stand
out. Thanks for stopping by and I will be back soon with another post.
Until next time...
