Hi everyone! Well, it's that time again! Christmas is almost here and it's time to get going on our Christmas projects.
I'm starting off with a layout of my grandkids from years ago when they were innocent and full of amazement at the wonder of Santa Claus!! The photo is not the best quality, but it is one of my favorites.
"Believe"
2Crafty used:
Believe in Miracles
Frame Louisa's
St Nicks Snowflakes
As always, first a splash of white gesso on all the chippies.
I didn't use a lot of chipboard on this, but I think it's enough to showcase this photo. I cut Frame Louisa's almost in half, and used the smaller portion up top here behind the photo. I heat embossed it with White Ultra Thick Embossing Powder.
I love the St. Nicks Snowflakes. They are my favorite out of all the snowflakes that 2Crafty offers. They just look so elegant! I have tucked one in here under the poinsettias so that it's peeking out just a little bit. I also used white Ultra Thick Embossing Powder on this.
Here at the bottom of the photo is the larger portion of Frame Louisa's. I love how by cutting it and using it this way, it really frames the photo well.
Under the poinsettias here is another one of the St. Nicks Snowflakes. I added it here, tucked in and peeking out just a little, the same as on the other side of the composition. I wanted to create balance.
The title is just the word 'Believe' from the Believe in Miracles title. I didn't have room to use the whole title without covering up most of the foliage, so I cut it off. This was heat embossed with Ultra Thick embossing Powder just like all the chipboard on this layout. (I thought the white would be best and not overpower the other colors.) I can use the word 'Miracles' on another project. That's the beauty of 2Crafty...use part of a piece, or use the whole thing, it all works!
I hope you like this layout and that it will inspire you to, if you haven't already, start on your Christmas projects!
