"The Magic of Snow" by Amy Voorthuis

So glad you are visiting this amazing blog, I really love creating with beautiful chipboard pieces like these. For today I have another 12 by 12 layout as those are my favorites to make. This time I made a wintery layout {my favorite to make} I used two pictures of Abbey in the snow back in 2021.

The beautiful "Christmas Frame 1" was altered with some true snow by {aleene's} after I firstly gessod all my pieces. After that I added some white & pink spray. I really love to alter my chippies with sprays because of the stainlike look. In the middle of the snowflakes I added a pearl drop and the word winter is altered with some white embossing powder. 

I cut up the "Snowball Tree" in several pieces and tuck them in my flower cluster they are altered with some wowzers white embossing powder and on the balls I added some nuvo crystal drops. The title was treated with some sprays and wax.

The "Corner Crackle" has to be my favorite piece of 2Crafty Chipboard I tuck that one underneath my first picture. and that one was also altered with some true snow and white spray. The "Twig Branches" I sprayed them with green sprays. All the products used but for the chippies are by 49 and Market.

"Love to Pose" by Amy Voorthuis

 pieces like these. For today I have another 12 by 12 layout as those are my favorites to make.
This time I made one with a lovely picture of our Abbey posing and being silly in the grocery store with her own cart. For this layout I have used some 49 and Market papers and lots of pink.

On this layout I again stitched around the edges. The maggie swirl & the phrase are treated with some white gesso, some embossing powder and waxes. I just loved making this layout as it was totally inside my comfort zone. 

The film strip & foliage set are also treated with some white gesso, but then I used some matte acrylic paint and waxes to make it look like it was aged.

Our Sweet Girl by Amy Voorthuis {photo tutorial}

Hello fellow creative souls, 

I am so excited that you are here with us today as it's my turn to bring you some inspiration. For this occasion I created a layout with a bunch of beautiful 2Crafty Chipboard pieces. All the chipboard pieces are treated in different ways like embossing, spraying and waxing. The flowers are handmade with some awesome dies and the picture I used is of our pretty little girl.

Firstly I coated the chipboard pieces with a layer of white gesso, then I took the 9" Steampunk Border, the hinges and the word adore and layered them with a coat of black gesso. Then I treated those same pieces with two different waxes and then I ramdomly added some acrylic paint with a tiny brush on them.  

The ferns I sprayed three time to cover them nicely then I used my heat gun to let it dry a little faster. Then I randomly added some green acrylic paint with a paper towel so you get it a little on even as I like. 

Behind the butterflies I added some paper from the collection I used but before I did that I coloured them with both of the pink sprays you see in picture two. Then I used some clear embossing powder since I wanted them in the pink color. The phrase I used is only treated with some blue spray as you see on picture one.

Cheeky I Love You by Amy Voorthuis

 Hello sweet 2Crafty friends, 

For today I am going back in time a little because when the new "Beauties" collection arrived at my doorstep I really needed to use a baby picture of Abbey with this amazing phrase by 2Crafty Chipboard. "I love you more than the sun the moon and all the stars" the phrase was treated with two layers of white gesso and then some white embossing powder the same as I did with the word cheeky. I also separated the phrase in four pieces to make it more the focal point on my layout next to my picture.

The leaves are treated with one layer of white gesso and then with some spray which I added three times and I used a whipe to take away the excess and dried with a heat tool. I did the same with the border piece. 

The flowers are handmade with some new dies I just purchased. I also did a bunch of fussy cutting for this layout. On the background I did a lot of machine stitching and I used a stencil & added some nuvo drops on the stencil.

"Daddy's Gorgeous Girl" by Amy Voorthuis

Hello lovely 2Crafty fans,

Welcome on this wonderful blog, today I am showing you a layout with a bunch of gorgeous 2Crafty chipboard pieces. I am a massive fan of making beach & wintery layouts this time I chose a beach one, with a picture of Abbey and her bucket full of shells. The papers I used are by Maja Design and are two different collections. The picture was taken last year, Abbey loves the beach and she always says "it's sunny on the beach mommy" you have to put sunscreen on me.

Firstly I coated all the chipboard pieces with a thin layer of white gesso, then I used a couple of different acrylic & liquid paints to cover my chipboard pieces. On some of them I dabbed a darker brown paint randomly and others I used waxes on. 

On the background I did some mixed media such as stamps, inks and sprays and I finished of my layout by adding some art stones, sea shells, flairs {long time ago since I used them} and some word strips. I also used some metal pieces.
