May Layout by Lisa Amiet

Hello again!
It's Lisa here today to share some more 2Crafty goodness with you, as promised :)

My layout today features one of my wedding photos from may years ago....

For this layout I have used some of the gorgeous 'Pointed Doily Frames' that I have embossed in white weathered wood embossing powder.
I have used these to frame some of the elements I have cut from my papers.

I have also used two of the flourishes from the 'Flourish Adornment Set 4',
that I have embossed in silver.

I have also used one of the 'Flower Medallions', finished in white.

Lastly I have also used some of the 'Sabine's Frame Set',
also embossed in white, tucked into my layers.

I really love the soft and delicate feel to this layout. I hope you like it too!

March Shares By Athanasia

'Moment'

Hello 2Crafty friends!
I found this cute photo on pinterest and decided to create a small canvas this time.
Even though project is small, I managed to use 7 chipboard pieces in there :)

Before we start...
Please remember to become a blog follower & leave a blog comment to
be eligible to go in our monthly draw for a great chippie prize pack.

I used different media to alter the chipboard pieces.
The word 'Moment' is painted with black and white gesso.
I also used white gesso to paint the Medallion Flower .

For the tiny Hearts I used H2Os Twinkling Watercolor in red shade,
becausI wanted to achieve a shiny and juicy look.
I also used a small  paintbrush with white gesso to highlight them.

I altered the Leaves and the Polaroid Frame with green and brown shades of
Primary Elements in order to give them a natural look.
I just spread some powder over all colors here and there
with a dry paintbrush and sprayed some water.

' Colorful ATCs'

I love making small art pieces and ATCs, they are always a perfect choice.
Even though they measure only  212 by 312 inches, they provide sufficient space
for many small embellishments,  believe me :)
And what would be most appropriate than chipboard pieces to use on them!

It was really a fun and quick project and I really enjoyed the process.
First I created a mixed media background with Primary Elements and let it dry.
In the meantime I fussy cut the Circular Panel and Painted it with brown
acrylic paint and a little bit of blue. I stuch them together using staples.
Last thing to do was to glue the word stickers and the tiny Stars and Hearts.
I decided to leave those two little fellows natural - I don't know why, I just liked
the way they looked on there as they were, with no paint at all :)

Patriotic Box by Jennifer Snyder

Hello.
Jennifer Snyder here today and so happy to be posting
to 2Crafty for the first time!
 What a privilege and honor.

The month of July feels like a great time to be patriotic.  With the World Cup
now behind us,  and so many people cheering on their country,
I  would  place a bet almost everyone who uses a computer had some
sort of exposure to the fanfare and excitement of the game.

Where ever you live, there are times when we all feel patriotic, are proud,
and have a love for our country.

I used that patriotic pride as my inspiration for my star box.
After covering the box in appropriate themed paper, I pulled out an
interesting choice of 2Crafty Chipboard as my focal piece -
the 'Corner Christmas Star Spray'.
Don't save this beauty for just the Christmas season!
It's way too beautiful for that.

I thought it was perfect as a representation of the stars in the United States flag.
I stayed simple and painted a base coat of white, then added
embossing enamel to it.  No need to get all fancy.   Let the wonderful
 chipboard piece make the statement.

Next I grabbed the small 'ATC Word chipboard set' and chose "Treasure".
I treated it with the same covering of paint and then embossing enamel.
Treasure is used as a double meaning here - treasuring my country
as well as what is placed in the box.

Next, in the image below, I decided to use the 'Flower Medallion 'as the
base of my cluster.   The 'Flower Medallion' is also treated with paint
and embossing enamel for uniformity.

Here are the images of the pieces I used.  You can see how detailed
and wonderful the pieces are.  Once again, here are the names of the
pieces I am using which can all be found on the website here: 2Crafty Products

'ATC Word chipboard set' and the 'Flower Medallion'

The finishing touches on my box include some gold trim glued around
the box, some inking on the box for accent, and the small
American Flag stuck into my cluster as a bow.  I grabbed a flag
from a recent parade I attended.  I try not to keep all little goodies I
pick up, but those mini flags are always saved.
