This was a magical destination on a boat trip from Krabi Thailand called Hong
Island. The water was stunning and we loved our time there. So a beachy out of
this world layout was called for. Alchemy of Art papers were perfect.

Title- Time of my Life
After a coat of Gesso as always, I painted the Fishing net bits with Finnabair
Stormy Ocean using a sponge so it looked aged. The Anchor was sprinkled with
Distress Glaze in Hickory Smoke and Lost Shadow so there wasn't a complete
coverage to give the aged look to also. Finished with some cord I platted.
The Ship's Wheel from the Anchor & Buoy set was coloured with Antique
Linen Distress Glaze and tucked under the Seahorse.
One set of Seaweed gave me two pieces for each side of my photo.
I love the mixed media look of my seaweed clusters mixed with fussy cutting,
Diecuts and completed with the chipboard Seaweed in pops of colour. I used
Distress Glazes Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers and Speckled Egg
adjusting the amounts with my fingers to create dak and light shading. Love the
gloss finish against the other elements.
What a perfect title for a wonderful day at sea. I painted it with Finnabair
Jade Stone and Mermaid Sparkle for a little shine but making it different
from the Glazed pieces to stand out on its own.
I hope you have enjoyed reading this post and see how layering different elements
creates great contrast and really brings out the ocean vibe. Glazes give an amazing
finish to the 2Crafty Chipboard. Purchase your beach chipboard at 2crafty.com.au
Until next time...
