This moment

Hi everybody. Welcome to the blog, glad you stopped by today. I'm sharing a layout of a beautiful little girl enhanced with gorgeous 2Crafty chipboard. I love how chipboard brings my projects to life. 2Crafty makes such a variety of chippies that you are never at a loss on how to beautifully embellish your photos! Hope you like it!

Franklin's Post
Swirl 1
Retro Panel

Gesso those chippies ladies!!

I am in love with the Retro Panel.  I cut it up and surrounded the photo with it. I used it to frame the photo and I think it is the focus of this layout. All I did was give it light coating of white Gesso. I wanted it to be white, but not the stark white you get with Acrylic Paint. Plus, the white on the patterned paper was kind of muted, and using gesso matched it well.

Tucked in under the flowers is one of the swirls from the Swirl 1 set. This was also painted with white Gesso. But with this, I added just a dot of gray Acrylic Paint to make it darker.

Just a view of the  right side showing the Retro Panel and how the white Gesso looks close up. It is almost a light grey, I love the textured look of this!

And here is another one of the little swirls from the Swirl 1 set. These little swirls are so small, but they add great detail. You can tuck them in anywhere you want because they fit anywhere!

On the very right of the layout, I added one of the Franklin's Posts. I painted it with a combination of Hookers Green, Primary Yellow, Natural Gray and White Acrylic Paint. I needed all of those colors to achieve the color that best went with the green of the paper. I never have the exact color that I need, so I have to mix what I have.

The title this moment, was the perfect choice for this photo. She is such a lovely girl with such a sweet expression. I painted the title with White Acrylic paint over white Gesso so that it would stand out against the panel and be a bit brighter.

I hope you like this layout and that it has inspired you to use your chipboard in ways that are a bit "out of the box" from what they may be intended for.

Until next time xx
