I loved the beautiful and exotic architechture of these photos and the very first chippie
that came to mind was the 'Morrocan Panel' which I painted with 'Vintage Photo' ink
for a rich dark brown color.
I painted the 'Film Strip' with black and gold paint.
All the other chippies I covered first with white gesso and
then I used a dry brush to add some brown ink for an uneven look.
2 Crafty Chipboard used:
'Moroccan Panel'
'Mini Branches'
'Journey'
'Film Strip Small'
My second project is an art journal spread in my favourite vintage style.
'Find Yourself'
I always start by adding an uneven thick coat of gesso to the pages of this old book
to prep them to be less absorbent of the mediums I will use and to give a nice
white backdrop for some bright colors.
2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:
'Frames Tiny Henri's'
'Frames Tiny Kathleen's'
'Fine Leafy Bush'
For all the chippies I used here I covered them with white acrylic paint
and then brushed on some ink called 'Butterscotch'.
Lastly I wanted to share a layout I created for the challenge blog
'Words & Painterly'.
'Stars and Stripes'
Unusual colors this month, but I like the end result :)
2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:
'Cassies Flourish'
'Stars'
For these chippies I coated them with white gesso and then used some watercolor paints
in blue and yellow. As a final touch I lightly stamped the stars with black ink.
I hope I have inspired you to get colorful with your chipboards!
