Inspiration from Guest Designer Melinda Thompson

Hi Everyone,

As you know last month 2Crafty were sponsors for the challenge site
 Scrap Around The World.

Here is the mood board as well as the sketch that we were sent. Gorgeous right!

I have used the sketch as a starting point...love that about sketches!
I did replace one of the photos with a couple of pieces of 2Crafty Chipboard
I drew inspiration  for this layout from a few things in the mood board.
I was inspired by the blue and pink colours, flowers, doilies, the typewriter,
bows on the shoes and the chevron arrow on the cushion.

The chipboard pieces I used on this layout are:

"Butterflies"
"Fay's Flourishes"

 "Adorable"

I thought I would give you a quick run down and look at the background
of this layout using the Fay's Flourishes.   Sorry not a great photo as
this was taken VERY late at night :)

I placed them together (see below) to form a heart shape...how cool is that!
I first primed them with Gesso, glued them down and just started applying some
Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam in Blue Suede Shoes with a fine paint brush.
To create the shadow effect.  I ran some Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze in
Oil Slick around the edges, sprayed with some water to make it run and pool.

I repeated the same techniques for the butterflies for a dramatic effect.

That is all for now, thanks so much for stopping by :)
