September Inspiration
Three Layouts to Share
By Di Garling

"Love"

Hi there friends. Thanks for stopping by the blog. Today I have three layouts
to share with you starting off with this one which I have based on
the current challenge over on the 13 Arts blog.
The criteria for this month is this sketch (which I have rotated)
plus to use a minimum of two mediums & two stamps. Too easy.

Great challenge 13 Arts, thanks for the inspiration.

I have used some great NEW pieces of 2 Crafty chipboard on this
 layout including this
 "Love title-loopy font"
which was simply  coated in gesso & then  given a spray of
 glimmermist .

As well as this fabulous NEW "Moroccan Panel" which is actually
a square & I simply cut it in half & placed it end to end to make
it fit the length of my page.
I have also added a "Valentines Heart" at the side of my cluster.
Both of these pieces were simply coated in two coats of gesso.
Can't get much easier than that.

Lots of background treatments including stencilling,
misting & stamping.

I handmade this little wreath & added some flowers for effect.

 "These are the Days"

For the month of August 2 Crafty sponsored the CSI
challenge blog & all of us 2 Crafty design team girls joined in the fun of each challenge.

This was my layout for CSI challenge #87.
Here was the brief..

As always I used lots of 2 Crafty chipboard, including....
"These are the Days" title
"Fine & Fancy Border"
"Bamboo Palm Leaves"
"Tiny Leaf Stems"
"Window Shutters"
"Butterflies from Multi Pack"
All of the flowers I have used on this layout are from

In this pic you can see some of the NEW
"Tiny Leaf Stems" & "Bamboo Palm Leaves".
For both of these pieces I firstly applies gesso & then force
dried them which causes the gesso to bubble slightly, creating
this fabulous texture. Next up I simply inked them with distress ink,
& over the gesso it creates lighter & darker tones.

Here you can see I have tucked in some of the NEW
"Shutters" which I had simply misted in two different colours.

I have sandwiched this "Fine & Fancy Border" in
between the layers at the side of my page.
This is just a different way to use a border.

You can also see one of the sweet little chippie "Butterflies"
in this shot too.

"You"

This was my layout for CSI challenge #86 & here was the brief...

(click on pic for a close up)

As you can see I have used lots of gorgeous
2 Crafty chipboard here including...

"You" title-loopy font
Flourish Adornment Set #5
Doiley Border
6" Clock Frames
Folk Hearts

My jute bow & most of the flowers here are from

All of my chipboard pieces were firstly given a coat of gesso
followed by various distress inks.
Too easy.

Definitely my all time favourite font.
2 Crafty does lots of great titles in this font.

Here you can see the "Doiley Border" coming out from
beneath my layers.

Well thats all from me for this month,
until next time.

Cheers Di  xo
