Inspiration from "Resident Guest Designer" Melinda Thompson

Hi everyone :))   Melinda here with you today to share a couple of layouts I created using  some gorgeous 2Crafty Chipboard.   'Hey You'

  I have used the following 2 Crafty chipboard pieces on this layout:   Chevron Bits Cassie's Flourishes Word Bubbles  

How awesome are these 2Crafty Word Bubbles!! I love them and this one
 was perfect to add as a title to my layout.  My 2 little boys just love to
wrestle so there is lots of fooling around in this household.  I primed it with
 Gesso first and then simply painted some "Pumpkin" Shimmerz.

I added these stunning Cassie's Flourishes to my flower cluster.

  I primed them both with Gesso and then painted with a fine paint brush
 a mixture of Shimmerz and then some Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam
in 'Tide Pool' and then lastly over the top for added depth and colour
some Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze in 'Island Spring'.

The Chevron Bits were just roughly inked with some Archival Black ink.

Next layout is one I did last month (August) as Guest Designer for CSI  which 2Crafty were sponsors.   I have used the following 2 Crafty chipboard pieces on this layout:   Lighthouse Anchor Fencing Wire Panel Summer Days Title   'Summer Days'

  With the 2Crafty Fencing Wire, I pulled it apart and what I love about  this chipboard is that it is so flexible, so I stretched it to kind of make  it look like netting.  I generously covered this with gesso and  modelling paste and then sprinkled lots of Shimmerz Enamalz.  Its totally sparkly.    The title Summer Days was just misted with Tattered Angels Glimmermist  in "Denim" and while it was still wet I sprinkled it with Shimmerz Enamalz  as well to give it a 'sandy/beachy' feel.  

 I was over the moon when Vanessa at 2Crafty agreed to cut out a cute
 little lighthouse for me. Its so adorable.  I outlined the windows and
 fine details of the lighthouse with a water coloured pencil.  Toned it all
down with Gesso and Crackle Paint.  The edges have a thick coating of
 modelling paste in different places for extra visual interest.

I have then used the Prima brick mask and some ink and randomly
and lightly (for a soft effect) added some more layers to the chipboard.

The cute anchor was also just misted with the same glimmermist as the  title and just brushed over in a couple of places with some gesso.
