Well that last month just flew by and it's my turn to share some creations with you again. This month I am sharing some boyish layouts of my son, but have also included one of my daughter to balance it out!
First up, I have used the very cool Cog Nested Frames. I have used three of the smaller cogs to frame some photos of Zane who was behaving rather cheekily for the camera. Then I have embellished my layout with the small Gears.
Of course 2Crafty always has the perfect title and I have used the Captured Moments title on this layout as it sums up what was happening on the day!
The cogs and gears I have coated in silver metallic paint. Once this was dried I used some black paint to cover over the top of the cogs & gears then wiped this off just leaving some pieces still with some paint on them. I love the grungy effect this gives them.
My title I inked in burgundy ink then randomly sprinkled on some embossing powder and heated it till it bubbled in places, then I rubbed some black chalk over the bumps:
The next layout I would like to share is another boy page -100% Boy.
I have used the Barbed Wire and the small photo corners from the Corners and Nameplates Pack. Both of these pieces I have simply inked so they show up nicely on the messy background:
The title piece - 100% Boy I have also inked, but this time I have used some older almost used up ink pads (pinecone, orange & green tea) and very lightly swiped over the chipboard. You can still see the original chipboard colour but a few differently swiped inks have added just enough colour and I love the grainy texture showing through.
And my final layout is a girly one, using the fabulous The Magic of You title and the most gorgeous fairy which I based the layout around.
Both the title and the fairy were inked in white ink and then coated in stickles:
I have used one of the Delicate Butterflies set, and I have painted in this in pink metallic paint then added some pearls over the round cut-outs.
The Ornate Fence I have cut in half. I have inked this piece in white then rubbed some gesso along the palings to give some depth:
That's all I've got for you today, hope it inspires you in some way!
