Tam's November Creation.....

Hi there 2 Crafty Creatives.

Tam here today to share my latest.

This one's titled:

  "You Make Me Happy When Skies are Grey"

I had a lot of fun with this one!

I created the background paper by using a green sheet of paper,
 adding a funky stencil, and some spritz.

Easy yet so effective!

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:

"You make me Happy when Skies are Grey title"

"Foliage Set 5"

"Flowering Clusters"

"Weeping Vine"

All of the chipboard was clustered to one corner of the page.

I did this as the background was quite busy, and I wanted to focus
the eye of the viewer into the photograph.

I went simple with colour, again because of the busy background, 

keeping it mostly monochromatic.

I applied white gesso to the "Flowering Clusters" and used these as my background piece.

I also applied white gesso to some of the leaves in the "Foliage Set 5".

Once dry, I added some black pen marks, just for a bit of fun.

I added some teal coloured ink to the "You make me Happy when Skies are Grey" title.

I love that pop of teal mixed with the lime and black and white!

 

Finally I added white emboss powder to the "Weeping Vine",
 and poked this in amongst the layers.

"You Make Me Happy..." By Kareen Dion

Hello!!

I'm back again with some extra inspiration this month!

I made this layout with my daughter when she was 3 years old, 

can you believe she will turn 5 years old in 3 days already?

"You Make Me Happy When Skies Are Grey"

I used Modern Swirls, Addy's Butterflies and the title 

You make me Happy when the Skies is Grey.

The modern swirls chipboard, I embossed it with yellow embossing
 powder to enhance my layout and to give light to it.

The title You make me Happy when the Skies are Grey 

is blue embossed to match the background paper.

The delicate Addy's Butterflies is white embossed to soften my layout.

Hello 2Crafty Fans!

Jaya here with you all today and I have a few projects I made using the gorgeous
2Crafty Chipboards to share with you all. 

My first project is this Canvas.

"You Make Me Happy"

Close up pics-

 I painted the circle revolution frames in emerald green acrylic paints. I covered the
 flower doily in black gesso and dabbed some gold paint here and there for a little highlight. 

The title chipboard has been covered in white gesso. I love how the
white pops against the dark background. 

The Decorative Rod chipboard has once again been covered in white gesso. Once it was dry I applied some soft gel on it and sprinkled some blue fine glitter. I love the sparkly look so much .

I covered the title chippie in white gesso . I like the look of this line word in white running all across my page.

How absolutely adorable is that  Intricate Sea horse chippie! I totally love it. I think it looks amazing!

 The Handrawn heart and Whispy Dandelions chippies have been covered in white gesso and while it was still wet to touch I sprinkled some sparkling powder on top of it. Once dry, I sprayed the centers with mist.

You Make Me Happy When The Skies Are Grey By Priscilla Lim

Hi 2Crafty fans, it's my turn to share a project today. Oh before I forget, Happy Valentine's Day to all!     Before we start.... Please remember to become a blog follower & leave a comment to
be eligible to go in our monthly draw for a great chippie prize pack. The more comments you leave the more chances to win.    Since it's Valentine's Day, I have created a pretty layout with some fussy cutting and  layering. Not forgetting some hearts :)  

  Started this scrap page on a piece of white piece of cardstock to create my own background. Distress Ink, Gesso, Tattered Angels Mist, Kaisercraft Acrylic Paint and Stencils from The  Crafters Workshop and Prima are the main tools that helped me complete the pastel  burst of colors. The papers used were from My Minds Eye and Simple Stories. Check out the photos  below on the fussy cutting and layering.  

  Here are the close up photos of the chipboards.  I have given them all two good coat of white gesso before dabbing them with Kaisercraft paints.

Hello ladies! I am so happy to be on this wonderful team...thank you 

very much Di and especially Vanessa. 

I love to dabble in different styles, but if I had to pick my favourite it would

 be romantic with a vintage feel. One of the reasons I love the 2 Crafty designs 

so much is that they are so delicate. 

Here I have used some lovely swirls that really accentuate 

the mood of my vintage photo.

I covered my chipboard pieces with 'Vintage Photo' brown ink before 

tucking them into my cluster of embellishments.

I really love the elegant design of these pieces.

I used the following 2Crafty chipboard designs:

'You make me happy....'

This layout features my little boy Liam, who really, truly, is the sunshine in my world. 

I loved this title piece and I knew this photo of him would fit perfectly.

For the title I first painted it with acrylic black paint and then coated it in 

Glossy Accents to really make it shine and stand out.

I also used pieces of Chicken Barbed Wire that I painted black

 and tucked in different places around my layout.

I used the following 2Crafty pieces:

'Love Yourself'

I created this romantic layout for a kit club I design for and thought I'd share it with you

 as I used some 2Crafty pieces that I think really added a unique feel to my design.
