'Maggie Sue' by Emma Zappone BONUS Video

 Hi everyone.
Today I share my final layout for 2022 with you.
'Maggie Sue' is a gorgeous child, full of questions and possibilities. She loves to visit her grandma's garden and chase the butterflies amongst the Gerbera's and Daisy flowers. You can see Maggie's story unfold in the Process Video here..

The chipboard pieces featured to make this page......

Flourish Adornment set 5
Handrawn Flowers
Chunky Dandelions

I was so drawn to this cute face of  'Maggie Sue's' when I found it on Pinterest, I have held on to it for quite some time, waiting for the perfect opportunity.
So today's creating was the perfect time to use her.

To prepare all the chipboard for this layout, I painted them with white Gesso to prime ready for paint.
For the Flourish Adornment piece I added some brown acrylic for contrast against the orange and yellow tones, which I then stamped an image with black ink on top.

The leaves off the Hand Drawn Flowers were also painted with the brown acrylic with a touch of orange still on the sponge. This created a beautiful 2 tone effect on the leaves.

The Flowers and the Dandelions are painted in a striking orange that sets them out above the layers of the papers behind 'Maggie Sue'.

You can see my process here in this Video.

I hope you have a great day and I will see you all next year.
Have an awesome New Year.

Em xx

Tammy's March Shares....

Hello 2 Crafty Fans!!
Tammy here to share my March creations with you all.
My first creation is titled..

"#Funtimes"

A layout that documents our last night at our annual holiday at a
beach in Port Elliott, South Australia.
This place is really special to us and on the last night we all have a lot of fun
hanging out together as the sun goes down.  Definitely something I wan to capture
and remember.
 "2 Crafty Chipboard Used:
"Today is Perfect Title
"Element Set 1"
"Crazy Stitched Panel"
"ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars"

I painted the "Crazy Stitched Panel" in black and trimmed this down.

I love using this to give my background some texture.

I painted the "Today is Perfect title" in yellow paint and then heat embossed i
t with clear embossing powder to give it a sheen/resin like finish.

I did the same to the "Element Set 1".

I love the effect of this. That yellow is just gorgeous.

I applied some jade green paint to a few of the stars from the "ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars"
and again heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

I love the pops of colour that the chipboard gives this layout.

My second creation is titled:

"Embrace Today"

This layout celebrates my gorgeous daughter and two of our very special family friends who
now live a long way away, however we were lucky enough to have some time with them recently.

Definitely a day to scrap and remember forever.

 2 Crafty Chipboard Used:
"Embrace Today Title"
"Mini Branches"
"Handrawn flowers"
"6" Circle Revolution Frames"
"Word Circles - Christmas"

I began by painting all of the Chipboard in a couple of coats of white gesso.

I then added some watercolours to the "Mini Branches".
I used a few different colours.

I also used a black pen to outline a few of the leaves and to add a few dots.

I added white paint to the "6" Revolution Frames" and the two circles
from the "Christmas Word Circles Set".
This gave them a crisp finish.

I did the same to the "Embrace Today title", and then I added yellow paint to the today part.

I really love doing this to the 2Crafty titles when they have two different fonts.

I then outlined a few of the letters in today, and added some dots with a Sharpie.
I like the whimsical look this creates.

Finally I painted some of the leaves from the "Handrawn Flowers" in black paint.

I really like the contrast this gives against the other leaves.

I have an extra share for you all today.

I created this one for Scrap the Girls this month and it's called:

"#Fun Times"

 2 Crafty Chipboard Used
"Hashtag Word Set 2"
"Polaroid Frame Set"
"Dotty Bits"

I painted the "Dotty Bits" in blue paint.

I painted the "Funtimes" title from the "Hashtag Word Set 2" in red paint.

The frame from the "Polaroid Assorted Frames" was painted in a yellow.

Scrap the Girls have a moodboard colour and theme challenge at the moment, and here it is:
