This FUN, Masculine boys layout, featuring some awesome 2 Crafty Chipboard..

Let' start off with the Texture tile bits

I wanted to add some texture to my background & 

these Texture tile bits worked pefectly.

I simply gave them a coat of gesso.

Next up is my Title - Boys will be boys

WHAT a great title for a boys page it is...

Did something a little different & inked each word a different color...

Lastly ofcourse I added a date 2015, again simply inking this black..

I'm super happy with how this has turned out &

"these friends are the best" Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

I’m back with my second inspiration for October, a Halloween layout featuring the cousins together last year. This photo makes me smile with their little pumpkins and mischievous expressions!

I worked on a white background with “Black Soot” and “Twilight” inks from 49 and Market. The gray and purple shades work beautifully with the black elements and touches of orange throughout the layout.

I had a few bats left from the “11" Halloween Frame” that I used on a previous layout. I scattered them around the photo and colored them with “Black Soot” Distress Oxide ink. Their silhouettes stand out against the light background and extend the Halloween theme across the page.

The title “these friends are the best” is a lovely match for this happy group of cousins. I embossed it with Lindy’s Gang “Jack a’Lantern Orange” embossing powder. The color echoes the pumpkins in the photo and the orange paper layered underneath.

The webs from the “Halloween Spider Web Set,” also colored with “Black Soot” Distress Oxide ink, sit at the top of the page and beneath the photo. I love their delicate design, which allows the background details to show through. A few paper embellishments, pumpkins, and a little banner complete the layout. Such a lovely family memory to capture with a playful Halloween theme!

"Gorgeous"Layout By Di Garling

 Hello there, Di Garling back with you today.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog.

Today I have another new layout to share with you
& of course I have used some lovely
pieces of our favourite 2Crafty Chipboard.

For my title "Gorgeous" I used one of the little "Word Banners"
& simply just gave it a very light white wash of watered
down white paint. I didn't want it to be too heavy but
simply give it a slightly whitish appearance.

"Gorgeous" - ATC Word Banner Set #1 

How beautiful are these amazing & oh sooo gorgeous,

"10" Angel Wings" they really are the hero piece of this 

layout. You could use them in two different ways, by either

 sitting them side by side or as I have done here, & have draped

them with one slightly overlapping the other, either way works fine.

I have simply given them two coats of white acrylic paint.
Too easy.

I have also used one of the "Mini Flourish Bits" here in the

bottom left corner of my page to help give it all balance.
I painted this the same way as I did for the wings.

'Love & Delight' with Lisa Amiet

 

Hello all!

It's Lisa here today to share some scrappy inspiration with you.

I created this layout in plum and pink tones, 
with a black and white photo of my daughter.

2Crafty products used:

 

 'Foliage Set 18'

'Mini Word Set 2'
'Ginny's Flourish Set' 

 

  

For this layout, I coloured all of my chipboard
 with Dina Wakley Gloss Spray in Eggplant. 

I love the glossy finish it gives, 
and the deep plum colour ties in with the
 pinks and purples in my papers.

 

I used one of the sprigs from 'Foliage Set 18' 
on the torn pink strip at the top of my page.
I also used 'love' from the 'Mini Word Set 2', 
on the left side of my photo.

  

 

 I used one of the flourishes from 'Ginny's Flourish Set', 
curling out from under my flower cluster in the bottom left corner.

 

On the right side of my photo, 
I layered another of the 'Ginny's Flourish Set' 
flourishes over a scalloped doily, 
with a flower cluster at its base.

I also used 'delight' from the 'Mini Word Set 2' 
under my photo, and tucked more of the 
'Foliage Set 18' sprigs under my flower 
cluster on the bottom right corner. 

I really love how my black and white photo stands out against all the plum and pink.
I hope that you like what I have created.

So Sweet by Robin Schelin

Hi Everyone. I'm back sharing my second layout for October.

This layout is a scraplift of one that I did a few years ago. I really liked that one, so I decided to make another one that is very similar. I will sometimes go back and look at my past projects and grab a few ideas here and there. But this is the first time I've done an actual whole scraplift of my own work. It was harder than I thought it would be!!

So Sweet

2Crafty Chipboard I used:

Decorative Circle Accents Set 1

So Sweet

As I always do, I first primed the chipboard that I altered with Gesso.

Behind the photo on the upper right side I placed one of the Decorative Circle Accents. I painted it with Parchment Acrylic Paint.

Here on the left side of the composition, I added a couple pieces from the Mini Sampler. I left them raw to match with the color on the paper.

And then I added 2 more on the right side to balance it out. I'm all about balance!

I chose the title So Sweet because she is just so beautiful she must be sweet as well. At least that is what I'm telling myself! But you never know, (haha) she could be NOT So Sweet! Anyway, I simply painted the title with Titanium White Acrylic Paint.

And that's it for me. If you want to challenge yourself, try scraplifting one of your own layouts.
Not as easy and you'd think it would be.

I placed the title inside of the circle from the circle stack.

I placed the chevron pieces to draw your eye to the photos

With a bright, fun and busy background I used black ink on the chipboard pieces.

Happy Fright Night By Charmane Sharp

 

Welcome to October, the month of Halloween. My second favourite time 

of the year. I love all things spooky and making awesome memories with my 

family. This photo is from a few years ago of my hubby and son.

2Crafty Chipboard used…

Title- Happy Fright Night

Iron Gates

Gravestone set

11’ Halloween Frame

Transforming the Iron Gates to look like they belonged on an abandoned 

house was so much fun. After the usual coat of Gesso I painted them with

Distress Paint in Hickory Smoke and dry brushed over the top with Black

Soot giving an aged look. Then while a little damp I bent them so they

could frame my photo as though they were falling off their hinges.

The title was placed on top of the right one after mixing some Distress Carved

Pumpkin with a dot of Ground Espresso paint and a touch of Barn Door until

I was happy with the Orange shade. Once dry I sanded it for the worn grunge

finish to match the Gates.

The Gravestones added the perfect Halloween vibe at the bottom of my

layout. Dry brushed some Black Soot Distress paint from the outside in

for a faded result to age them. Making the cross darker for contrast and

added some Tim Holtz rubons for the final look.

The Coffin was given the same treatment as the Gravestones with some

Hickory Smoke dry brushed on too for a lighter look to highlight the

Black Soot on the cross.

Last year I used the rest of the Halloween frame on a layout and I had

some Bats left over so they were the perfect finish with one flying off the

Gate for added spookiness. I hope you have enjoyed this layout and the 

Mixed media background which could also be used for an amazing boy

layout too.
