With the weather warming up I thought an ocean themed layout was called
for. I love the mix of 2Crafty Chipboard with the laser cut designs to add
Texture and difference in my composition.

Using my Prima Watercolours after the Gesso coating I was able to keep
the muted palette the same as the papers and laser cuts. Choosing colours in the
same tones meant the seaweed pieces I cut and tucked under the Lighthouse
worked together beautifully and added great depth and texture.
I added some more of the Seaweed pieces to the other side of my photos
along with an Anchor and Ships Wheel to add the boating feel. Building up
layers of colour as they dried I gave the Ships Wheel some age. The Anchor
had colour build up with greys and browns to achieve a rusty finish. I then
glued a pice of chain to it like it was coming out from a boat.
The Industrial Spring set was cut and added to compliment the double photo
length drawing the eye down the entire composition using shades of grey
watercolour.
For some additional details in the corner of my layout I placed another piece of
Seaweed to add to the printed designs underneath with a grouping of laser cuts
and a quote. I hope you have enjoyed my turtle images I treasure from a holiday
