"Fun in the Sun"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

For my first layout in November, I chose these two photos of Milan at the beach. I love this playful pairing: one photo from the front and the other from behind, almost as though we are following him on his little walk across the sand.

"Fun in the Sun"

The Chipboard used:

I colored the “Seashells Set 2” with “Pink Sands” ink from 49 and Market and a few touches of “Antique Linen” Distress Oxide. These shades echo the flowers on the paper while keeping the engraved details visible. I arranged them beside the little wooden pier, together with the “Seaweed Set 3,” colored with a sage green Distress Oxide ink. A piece from the “Decorative Disc Set 2,” colored with “Frosty” ink from 49 and Market, is tucked behind the paper elements.

On the right, I repeated these colors on the shells and swirls, layering them among the flowers beneath the photo. I really like how the curves of the “Decorative Disc Set 2” fit into this seaside setting. The seaweed frames the photos on either side, with one last piece extending upward beside the title.

To finish, I placed the “Fun in the Sun Title” above the photos and colored it with “Frayed Burlap” Distress Oxide. This shade coordinates beautifully with the sand and the wooden details on the paper. This title was an obvious choice for these little beach moments. A few white splatters complete the layout. I really enjoyed coloring these chipboard pieces in soft shades that work so beautifully with this collection
.

I hope this layout inspires you to bring out your favorite beach photos and have fun creating your own seaside scene with these lovely chipboards!
