Hi everyone, so glad you could join me today.
This is a layout using just a few pieces of fabulous 2Crafty Chipboard. Some designs require many pieces and others only a few. With this layout, I didn't want to detract from the beautiful subtle design on the paper, so I kept it simple. I think it's the perfect amount of chipboard for this photo.

you
As always, I covered all the chipboard with Gesso before painting.
I love the little Foliage Set 15 pieces. I use them a lot to complete my flower clusters because they can be altered to accent any color of flowers. They're small enough to fit anywhere and really give added dimension to the design.
I painted the stems with a mix of Neutral Gray and Light Blue Violet Acrylic Paint to match the blue/gray of the leaves. Then I painted the bulbs with Titanium White Acrylic Paint to match the small flowers.
I added in one more piece from the Foliage Set 15 here on the other side of the photo amongst the flowers to create balance.
I wanted to lengthen the look of the photo, so I placed one of the Filmstrip Medium pieces underneath the photo. I placed on the left on top of a die cut filmstrip to create interest.
I painted it with a blend of Pewter, Bronze and Raw Umber to try to match her hair and the center of the larger flowers.
Here at the bottom underneath the photo is the bottom of the Filmstrip Medium.
I chose the title, you, because I wanted to use this word strip under it and this title worked the best for that. Since her shirt is tattered, placing "tattered beauty" there was a no brainer!
I placed the title on top of the photo and simply painted the title with Titanium White Acrylic Paint to pop off the darker color on the photo.
I hope you like this simple little layout. As with a lot of things, sometimes "less is more". You don't always need to crowd your layouts to get a beautiful result. A little can go a long way!
See you back later in the month for more 2Crafty goodness!
xx
