Explore
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

I'm happy to share my second layout of June.
For this project, I chose a precious photo of my grandson Milan wearing his adorable little aviator helmet. I absolutely love his curious expression, and it immediately inspired the soft vintage atmosphere of this page.

The chipboard used:

For this project, I used the beautiful Faded Memory Lane collection from 49 and Market. The soft vintage tones of the collection were perfect for highlighting this precious memory.
Before decorating my chipboards, I applied a coat of white gesso to all the pieces. Once dry, I coloured them using Distress Oxide inks in soft brown, beige and muted blue-grey shades to coordinate with the collection and subtly echo the aviator theme of the photo.

For the Clock Face Frame, I used Antique Linen, Stormy Sky and a touch of Vintage Photo to create a soft aged effect. I love how this large frame naturally draws attention to the photo and creates a beautiful focal point. The Steampunk Gears Small were coloured using Stormy Sky and Vintage Photo. These shades enhance the mechanical details while blending perfectly with the soft palette of the layout. The Love You Balloons were coloured with Antique Linen, Tattered Rose and Frayed Burlap. These soft tones complement the romantic feel of the layout and balance the industrial elements beautifully.
To finish my focal cluster, I added the word Explore from the Mini Word Set 4. It was the perfect choice to complement Milan's little aviator outfit and curious expression.

For this section of the layout, I combined the Grungy Splatters Bits with the Mini Number Panels to add texture and dimension to the design. Both chipboards were coloured using Stormy Sky, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Oxide inks, creating a soft aged finish that blends beautifully with the vintage tones of the collection.
I love how the Grungy Splatters Bits add a subtle mixed media effect, while the Mini Number Panels bring extra detail and help reinforce the vintage feel of the page.

I used the Steampunk Lightbulbs to add visual interest to the upper section of the page. They were coloured with Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain to create a warm vintage finish.

I love how the combination of these chipboards adds texture, dimension and character to the layout while perfectly complementing the soft vintage feel of the collection.

See you again soon for another 2Crafty Chipboard creation!
