Using Among the Wildflowers Collection from The Three Girls Tales I
have created a Step by Step Tutorial so you can recreate my layout. Or
choose your own collection and use the ideas as a guide.
2Crafty Chipboard used…
4.5’ Flourish Doily
Vintage Flourish set 1
Intertwined Swirly Hearts
Title- Memories Bloom in every Snapshot
Step 1. Cut Doily in half and save for another layout and Gesso all the
chipboard pieces.
Step 2. Using a sponge and Distress Paint in Mowed Lawn, Bundled Sage,
and Iced Spruce dab the colours over the Flourishes blending the colours.
Step 3. Sponge Distress paint in Spun Sugar on the Intertwined Hearts.
Step 4. Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar Distress Paint are applied to the
title highlighting the first and last words.
Step 5. White embossing powder for the Doily and then clear emboss
remaining pieces.
Step 6. Glue flowers on Stems to make them into branches.
Step 7. Fussy cut as above from the 6x8 pad and the journaling 4x6 pad.
Step 8. Trim your photo and use a corner rounder. Adhere a piece cut from the 6x8
pad to the side of the photo and a small piece to the top of the photo cut from the
top edge of the pad. Then add foam tape to the back and adhere to a piece from the
journaling pad that I cut 1cm out of about 1/3 from the bottom which will be
covered up later as it was too big.
Step 9. Apply Foam Tape to the back of this and then offset another sheet from
the journaling pad to show its prettiness.
Step 10. Glue your photo composition down tucking the Doily in on the
left side. Add a fussy cut piece to the bottom of the Doily as shown.
Step 11. Layer two pieces of Ephemera Florals with Foam Tape and then add
tiny Foam Squares to a piece of Flourish and stick on top. Glue this to the
bottom of your photo and glue the branch on top.
Step 12. Double the Foam Squares up on the second Flourish so its the same
height and add the other branch and run it down from the other one. Finish
by tucking some Daisies in.
Step 13. Add other Fussy cut pieces to the left side of composition with tiny Foam
Squares to create layers as shown and a couple of ephemera florals. Add the Ephemera
nest and tuck two flowers under it.
Step 14. Add glue along the middle of the title and place over the Cherry Blossom
branch place something on it until it dries in place.
Step 15. After adding Foam Tape to the back of the Birdhouse Ephemera, tuck it
under the title to sit over the corner of your photo. Then layer some of the floral
Ephemera under it.
Step 16. Add the Bee to top right corner with doubled up Foam Squares and tuck
the Intertwined Hearts under the photo at the top. Finish with a small cut Ephemera
floral under the Bee.
